RB where are you located? Im in Hyde Park and it's 34 here with rain and sleet.
I went home to my parents’ in NE PA lol left at 4:50am this morning after I got out of work. Probably don’t have anything in Fishkill, but that’s obviously speculation haha
Fishkill has nothing, no one in Dutchess has seen any snow today.

Re: December 2018 Observations and Discussions
You people must all be drunk. Precip is over and it’s only rain
You know we’re desperate when maybe 4 flakes fall on December 17th in the middle of a rainstorm and people start posting and celebrating. Sheesh

Re: December 2018 Observations and Discussions
Looking at more rain Friday into Saturday morning, but much less than what we just saw. Possibly less than 1 inch.
Times are tough right now. I much prefer a front-loaded winter than back-loaded. Preferably wish it was spread out, but that does not happen often. Let's hope the Stratosphere or El Nino base state saves us soon. The lack of storms when we have cold air is attributed to a weak to non existent sub tropical jet stream, and we were supposed to have an active one this winter due to Nino.

Re: December 2018 Observations and Discussions
Well last night I was in Sullivan, in Fallsburgh, and on the way home about 8:30 after my class, the snow was coming down. Near the casino to about Exit 110 on 17, it was no bargain. 35 mph was top speed home. About three inches in a hurry. Yes, arriving home I could hear the wind too and more so during the night. The wind chimes I have rarely sound but I heard them. It was 27 when I left work, 33 when I got home. What a difference 35 miles makes.

Re: December 2018 Observations and Discussions
The winds were strong last night. Woke me up a couple of times.
Temps in the 40's for the next week or so. The latest GFS increased rain amounts on Friday to about 2 inches. I'm not sold on these amounts yet. I do not think the primary low is going to cut as far west as the GFS shows.
Rain will move out by 7am Saturday and the weekend should be pleasant.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: sunny with temps in the upper 30's.
