Yes, but there would also be sleet too. Secondly, it would verify my forecast haha

Still very intrigued for tomorrow and tomorrow night with the upper level low passing to our South while temperatures are marginal at best I think if there is enough lift and heavy precipitation will see some form of Frozen precip as that should cool the column enough. we also have the CCb on the backside of this low nam continues to look good

Rain and sleet mixing in. Higher elevations of the Catskills and Poconos May see 1-2”. Total non-event for 99% of this forum. It’s coming up on late December. Very disappointing start to this “ epic” winter pattern. Yes I know it’s still early but I post facts

This may turn out to be a mix fest for N&W of NYC with snows in the higher elevations.
TJay pro met posted a skew T diagram that shows this inversion in the atmosphere pointing towards this. If this were to occur Monday mornings commute would be bad.

Doesn't impact me or e en work which is around 287 where often it can snow bit. Ore than here so I'm done. If it ices which by looks of that snow map its all rain for southern Westchester than I could see a delay min if it ices but looking imprOBABLE.

Light to moderate snow/sleet/ice accumulations and/or accretion as far south as I-80 and as Far East as I-95 with corresponding advisories has been my call, and I see no reason to change that. This was a HUGE step in that direction and darn near matches it as is, but think we can get an earlier transition by 1-3 hours yet, which is the wild card right now for southern and eastern zones of my outlines region. Don’t sleep on it, Jman.

Yup this is definitely colder than most modeling. Just drove from Fishkill, NY to Greentown, PA after work and drove through snain the whole way. Then when I climbed to the Pocono Plateau we have freezing snain up here. Really interesting; can’t say I’ve ever experienced this before lol

Brings back to me and old song "the snain in Spain stays mainly in the Plain",LOL.How are things in Greentown rb?I get off that exit on 84 and pass Frank's Family Restaurant to get to Wallenpaupack to my old Frat Pal's house these past 43 years.I think it's Route 507 or 502.

Here just plain rain, 35 degrees.

Yes, rb, JOHN'S, my bad!!!! My wife and I had breakfast there last October on the way to my Pal's daughters wedding on the Lake further up on 507.That spot right around John's is where time has stood still,LOL.Looks exactly like the first time I passed through there in 1975.

Heavy rain still here.Radar looks kind of ragged behind it.
