Isn't this good news though since the 10-15 day ensembles have busted all winter.
Oh, that's right, those types of trends only matter when they lead to it NOT snowing on the eastern seaboard. Ok...got it now.
LOL! I wouldn't have the audacity to post about promising ensembles at this point. That'd just be wrong based on this year's results. But you're right, this could be the break we need!

I won't lie, I am hoping for early spring. I want to get into a new hobby and I need warm weather for that... Well, more of a different section of a hobby I already do... RC helicopters.

There's a RC flight club that meets down the block from me...some of those things are amazing!

To be honest, I don't think anyone here thought "rockin February" was actually a thing. Everyone here is in "we'll believe it when it happens" mode.

I quit posting awhile ago (for me anyway) but I can’t resist. I check in periodically and am in absolute shock that you people still have hope. I’m actually laughing at the latest LR and some of our Mets being optimistic. How many times do you have to see the same thing happen before you realize what’s up? What do they say about insanity. Repeating the same thing over and over but expecting different results.
Post after post about pattern changes and assured snow chances.
Freaking out over TPV coming in and record cold gripping us as if we haven’t experienced these temps EVERY WINTER. Winter of 2018/19 epic bust. PERIOD. And don’t expect things to change going forward
Sheesh. How many times you gotta see the same thing folks. No matter what anyone posts about chances going forward. Give it up.

As former Assistant Director of the OTI Sanitarium, you do have to realize there is insanity amongst snow lovers. It's a LONG stretch from May 1 to Oct 1 so I hang in there until Mar 15th before throwing in the towel.I don't listen to the long range model readers I look at the calendar and right now I see over 2 months of snow time left.

EXACTLY! Everytime I hear the crap like pattern change, its coming etc etc etc I just want to scream! This winter SUCKS! I don't care if we had FOUR 20 inch storms next month, it doesn't change anything... Get over it. Its a bad winter... It happens...

long range models ARE THE DEVIL. they constantly set us up for 300 hours out and choke within under 200. it's our fault for looking at them with an ounce of hope

you have so many weather pages on Facebook and Twitter who have access and post them hyping it up...that's what killed weather modeling

To be fair (other than this year) the many who put the time in on this board have been right on several occasions. And I know we can say things like "wishing those with degrees" would be privileged to be on here and talking to us about weather. But this is an amateur page as well. Just like there are amateur astronomers.

Anyone who continues to bash ANYONE on this board will be banned. We are all disappointed in how this winter has turned out so far, but all this bashing is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I don't care if it's in the playpen thread...knock it off, you've been warned.

Upstate New York will be in my version of heaven for the next couple of days. Notice it says additional snow accumulations of 3-4 feet in areas, so who knows what they've already received. I keep meaning to drive up there for one of these.

You should take that drive CP and cross that off your bucket list. That tug hill plateau always gets bombed. I'm surprised the lakes aren't frozen by this time though.
