When I woke up around 4am it was 2º, WC -12. By 6am it was still 2º, but WC was down to -17. At 7:25am, still 2º but WC is back up a bit to -13.

ha ha...well we did not die from the cold, it immediately hurts your ears if not covered...and I saw kids walking..wish we lived in a different age where I could pick them up...

Lots of double digit below zeros in NNJ and the HV this morning.

-17° at Orange County airport in Montgomery, -19° in Walpack NNJ .

Central Park got to 2° which is the coldest reading in 3 years.

This was never going to be a record shattering cold snap in our neck of the woods despite TWC hysteria. In the midwest yes, but not for the northeast. Ours come from over northern Ontario directly to us, they don't traverse over the midwest first. There's to much time for them to modify as is the case here.

Parents up in Olivebridge got 11.5” from the event the other day while a town called Tosendale just 5 miles south near New Paltz only got 3.5”. Went down to -12 last night

0* at my abode and -2 up at my school in Allende - had a delayed opening- wind chills were minus 20 to 25 below up at school region.

This too shall pass.

@Frank - make some of those delicious caramel m&m's kid and offer them to the snow gods please!!
