We are having our first heat wave of the year starting this Friday I am hearing some places could hit a hundred on Saturday Mad

Looks like this weekend may take the award for hottest of the summer with temps expected to hit the mid to upper 90s Friday through Sunday. With humidity, heat indexes will top 100. Looks to fall back to more normal mid to upper 80s for most of next week at least.

Also watching to see if the remnants of Barry will provide enhanced rainfall with the Wednesday night/Thursday morning Thunderstorms.

It is so nasty outside 90 degrees very humid I cannot wait for the fall and winter I am not a fan of the heatyou can't even stay outside for 5 minutes because of heavy sweating

Been one continuous heavy T’Storm here since just after 7 p.m. a few claps of thunder and gusty winds from time to time but main thing has been heavy rain. Just coming down in buckets.

The weather's so boring, no one has anything to say.

However it was hot today, about 92 and humid.

Thank goodness for air conditioning and a pool.

but then after 6pm the trains 1,2,3,4,5,6 and the shuttle stopped some in stations some in the tunnel but the ac was on and there was lighting...computer problem,then there backup computer stopped...service back to normal after 7pm.......fares go up..still results in bad service

HOTTER THAN HELL ALREADY.......154 DAYS 14 HOURS 34 MINUTES AND 20 SECONDS UNTIL WINTER BEGINS BUT THIS WEEKEND..I WILL BE HIBERNATING IN THE HOUSE...we had beautiful weather on the Long Island Sound visiting Long Island and Ct for the last several weeks. glad to be home before the high heat kicked in....Stay cool and safe!!

Didn't get up to 100 degrees but it was still hot have a high of 96 with the real feel of 105 it's nasty out I cannot wait for the fall and winter to be here

It's hot but we have had plenty of heat like this, everyone is making such a big deal about it, heatwaves are nothing new, not even a heatwave I think what 4 days above 90?

I agree that it's summer! Have to expect the heat! I just BITC....because I hate it..lol...but in actuality. it was really hot..99* and real feel over 110...but the humidity was not bad yesterday...so it was bearable if you were out..today the temperature is lower and the humidity is high and it feels oppressive to me...but on the bright side one day closer to cooler weather... Very Happy

Yep, as nice as it may be from tomorrow evening through Friday, looks like once the heat returns this weekend it may stick around for several days -- albeit not as extreme as this past weekend.

Just saw the Severe T'Storm Watch for most of the area. Storms are firing up over PA right now. Would make sense given the heat and ridiculous dewpoints that a front bringing us a 20 degree drop in temps for tomorrow will trigger some nasty storms. Let's see how the evening and overnight go!
