Re: July 2019 observations and discussion
Beginning to think we may open the first-half of August on the cooler side overall. Where the heck is this setup five months from now ![Brick](/users/3017/35/58/46/smiles/2417739071.gif)
However, I can see how areas south of the Mason-Dixon don’t get to fully cash in on the relatively cooler temperatures in the means thanks to the highly anomalous warmth in the Western Atlantic feeding back.

As a follow-up to that, if the evolution I’m currently envisioning turns out to be correct, or at least close, we may have a tropical threat to talk about in the Gulf and/or off the Southeast coast during this same period.

92 degrees with a dew point in the 70s. Or, another typical summer day in the mid-Atlantic region. Looks like the frontal passage will stir up some storms tomorrow that may warrant keeping an eye on, but after that, more moderate temps and maybe some lower humidity look in store through the weekend.

This is always the point in summer where I actually start to notice it getting darker slightly earlier as well (even though technically that starts happening slowly at the beginning of July). Was almost dark by 8:30 last night, about a half hour earlier than late June/beginning of July. That will become even more noticeable as August progresses: the first tangible sign that Fall is fast approaching.

My husband and I spoke about that last when we were watching the sunset on the deck...today was a hot day..94 and higher humidity 69percent....ugh...love the lazy days of summer and the pool(not the heat)...but the thought of cool crisp days...billg315 wrote:This is always the point in summer where I actually start to notice it getting darker slightly earlier as well (even though technically that starts happening slowly at the beginning of July).
