I mean the 24 on the CMC has now hit my area, and the trend has as we seen for that area of 30+ to move NW or West into jersey and parts of NY or do you think it stops there? Honestly though I do not care, 24 will still be crippling, and they gotta say 12-24 now cuz people are go be stranded left and right if this verifies.rb924119 wrote:jmanley32 wrote:honestly, as much as I have never seen that much snow, im not sure I want that to move any closer, 30-40 inches would put yonkers to a standstill, it is super tight here, theres nowhere to put it cars including mine would be buried for at least a week if not more. it would be pure insanity.Frank_Wx wrote:
Worry about that later lol enjoy the ride and deal with the aftermath later ahaha you don’t get these very often.
Honestly, I’m not the best person to ask at this stage, Jman, but my honest opinion is no.

Well, based on tonight's runs I'm already working on my 2nd/Fiinal call snow map. The first one is out the window already unless there are big changes overnight. lmao

Hell yeah Jman, I'm hoping for the goods as well. Little nervous about things moving north. However, I've been in a solid spot most of the way.

Hahahaha the one aspect of weather that’s entirely predictable: it will humble you in a hurry hahaha
Also, you answered my question earlier before I even asked it, which is why I never followed up lol

Re: February 1st-2nd Godzilla, Part III: 1st Call Snow Map
Model breakdown for NYC so far for 00z:
FROM a amateur student met
NAM: 24"
3km NAM: 17" (in a subsidence zone)
RGEM: 21.1"
GFS: 15"
GFS PARA: 19"
CMC: 21"
GEFS: ~14"
the fact that we're getting as much from the globals as the mesos is incredible

I am in touch with him, he said he has taken the stance of not paying attention to the weather and not caring which has worked in his favor for a good storm, appears he will do pretty well so kudos lolIrish wrote:rb924119 wrote:Hey, where are Mikey P and SNOWMAN at??

And it dropped a 27 over my house 50 miles or so due east. Will either verify? I'm not sure it will be over us but someone is going to see a 30+ the way things are going. We'd have to go back five years for a 30 inch storm in our area.

Would be qyuite something, honestly when is the last time NYC say 2 ft? Models are all pretty close as mugs posted above and the models arent done yet IMO, and then comes nowcasting which could be heartbreaking for some and roids for others lol, might we see a bigger monster up top at some pt Frank? LOL prolly asking too much, ill back down.CPcantmeasuresnow wrote:rb924119 wrote:Correction, just dropped a 35-spot on them.

Which, if you think about that, that’s pretty remarkable. Only five years between 30” storms. Binghamton has had two 40” storms in three years. Wild stuff.

I think northern most central NJ on north and into NYC & LHV area all stand a pretty good chance of seeing that or near that from following all the models.Irish wrote:Is it possible that CNJ pops 2 feet?

Ah, I see, probably just a big north of me since I border Monmouth County.
