I’m glad we could resolve this up but I would like to make one thing clear. What a person does with their snowpack is strictly between that person and their snowpack and no one else’s business. As long as all parties are consenting and no one is hurt in the process.

LOL. I'm glad there are no hard feelings, and you are right, as long as both parties are consenting, it's nobody's business but you own.

If I remember correctly, weren't you the guy who ended up in his skivvies out in the snow a few years back? I saw on some weather related piece that if you are ever caught in an avalanche, that is exactly what you should do-try to swim with it helps keep you up top,so they said.

Where this cold blast coming from you ask?
To get a sense of where this cold air came from, here is a backward trajectory of the airmass that is currently over NYC using the @NOAA HYSPLIT model. The airmass over the area today was over Baffin Bay between extreme NE Canada and Greenland only 5 days ago! #NYwx #CTwx #NJwx pic.twitter.com/0Luw9WV0Ga

Re: March 2021 Observations and Discussions
27° with 5 inches of snow still otg. Enjoying the last of the bitter cold days of Winter.
Monday will make 50 days with snowcover = an acceptable winter.
Would like one big March storm to make it above average.

Re: March 2021 Observations and Discussions
19 a bit earlier out. Still plenty of snow cover but the depth is something like three inches of crust. I think it is a goner about Wed and certainly by Thurs. With about four weeks left of possible snow somewhere along the way, I too echo CP's and others' wishes for just one more bite of the apple. The winter has gone fast so far.

14 this morning. Looks like the wind is about 7 mph. Looks like a sunny day. 41 is the projected high. One thing I like is my deck is clearing up by itself. A walk to the suet feeder is better because of it.

Still snow cover here this morning but by sometime tomorrow I think our 40+ consecutive days of snow cover will officially come to an end. It was a decent run, winter as it should be.

CP, when I left Monroe yesterday to head to Fort Lee to care for my mom two days, my property still had complete snow cover. Here in Fort Lee, it is almost all gone aside from the few piles here and there. It was a great run for us after last years horrible snowpack day year.Think maybe one more snow event may happen before we shut down.
