Should insure that we are encased in ice tomorrow. Starting to get concerned this could be a quarter inch of ice. Minor disruptions definitely possible.

CAD/Low Level Cold Arctic Air with 4" of snow on the ground gonna be tough to scour it out especially this time of year.

Down to 17.6* DP of 7 and 5” of snow on the ground. Going to be tough to get this cold air out of here

20* here at 8:30 pm. Gonna take some time tomorrow AM to scour out this cold air and warm up these frozen surfaces. I can easily see done prolonged icing issues tomorrow morning.

Temp not forecast to climb to freezing until 11 am here with rain projected to arrive at 7 am. That’s a lot of time for ice to accrue.

Surprisingly trending warmer. A 3:15 am dog outing and it us 20 degrees. In about three hours, it starts getting interesting. Here, it is forecast to be no higher than 32 for the entire day. I think it will get interesting fast

Yep. 26 and if the driveway is an indicator, the glaze has arrived. Looking at the trees, it looks like nothing. Looking at the walkway and blacktop, bad.

26* dewpoint 23*. The good news here is the precip is still mostly to the west so may warm up by the time it starts here. Right now a solid area of freezing rain and icing across Central PA to NEPA and the Hudson Valley.

Freezing rain and sleet affecting parts of Warren and Sussex counties in NJ. Portions of I-80, I-84 and I-87 as well as the PA-Turnpike NE Ext. could have major problems this morning. Maybe even the western end of I-78 in NJ into PA where it’s already being impacted.

That’s a lot of Frz to our west moving east. Hope these temps bump up fast here.

Temps did rise quickly. Up to 38 here. Going to avoid the ZR

32* dewpoint 26*. Precip on my doorstep. If it starts soon will probably be ice, but in much better shape than if it started a couple hours ago.

Temps starting to nudge above freezing here. Rain now visible on the radar on the south and east edge of the precip field. I think any further freezing rain today will be confined to those well N&W in the region, with most people just seeing regular rain showers this afternoon.

ZR held off here but buddies in Mahwah and West Milford said they had some ZR this morning.

Yikes! 0 to -10 tomorrow night!! I am sorry that is too cold : ( Hope every ones pipes are ready. NWS says 30-40 hrs of temps like that. No thank you!

Wind Chills Tuesday AM

There was a dusting of snow here overnight.  Nothing measurable, but road, driveway, and cars have a light coating.  Nice to wake up to!  It’s bitterly cold.  Don’t know if the sun will melt it.

Yeah here too where did that come from haha. I was like het it snowed.
