November Obs & Discussions

This is a perfectly fine map for mid November . We have an anomalous warm ocean that will keep temps above freezing. We need an anomalous cold air mass to overcome this in Nov.

Money shot for 1st flakes peeps!!

I'm absolutely cracking up at the 5-6 ft of snow at the end of GFS run from great lakes all way down to albany and across much of NE, would def break any if all records....from two monster storms 24th and 29-30th. If played out the northern folks verbatim could have 1-3 ft on the ground shortly after thanksgiving lmao. I sure hope you guys do, sorry but 5-6 ft? Albany and math can keep that. Guess if that actually happened my sister might have a difficult time getting down to CT from syracuse on 23rd and definently going back to syracuse after thanksgiving.

He poked his head out several weeks ago when we got cold in October, but when the temps shot back up again as we ended the month and started Nov back in the 60's and 70's he quickly tucked back in to his summer hibernation hole.  It was like his alarm went off and he hit snooze.  He wasn't quite ready to get up and have his first cup of winter coffee.  Id be willing to bet he along with several other N&W members more recently have been lurking given the current outlook over the next 10days or so.

I believe CP is holed up in his garage, making his debut album for the Weather Channel. 

At 5 am today when my dog made it clear she wanted out, it was 20 degrees. I like that for CP’s album name.

I'm confused , Damian, is the title for CP's album "My Dog Wanted Out" or "It was 20 degrees". I think his album title should be "I got those summertime blues from my head down to my shoes"!

I am laughing, not crying, and I think there's a flaw in that statement if something horrible happens people do cry together (but I know what you were saying in this case). Hope you see some snow. Gonna take my rain in stride as best I can lol. I don't really expect any snow this time of year anyways, around thanksgiving ya in the old days it would snow but now it just doesn't happen. We also get 70s in Dec. that never used to happen in the late 80s/90s either as far as I recall.

Snowing in Stillwater NJ at 1190 feet altitude, sticking to cars and grass but not the roads, Temperature is 33 degrees, it is a wet Snow But It Is SNOW!

38 in Orange County north and snowing

Had some light pingers about a dozen on my car driving that mixed in at 4:15 on my way home from school today in Allendale.

Snowing pretty good now in Stillwater NJ at 1190 feet altitude, Temperature holding at 33, sticking to grass and elevated surfaces, approaching 25/100 Of a Inch accumulation!

39* with Rain here, but definitely have some sleet mixed in occasionally.

Moderate snow, 35 degrees, sticking to grass and shrubs.

33 degrees. Snow and some sleet here in West Milford.

45 *with a cold boring rain

Approaching 3/4 inch on ground in Stillwater, Temperature dropped one degree to 32 degrees, sticking to the road now. Road Department just went thru and put down A lot of Salt.

34* currently with sleet, started as rain, switched to sleet, then snow, now back to sleet
