Temperature on Mt. Washington right now is -34°. The sustained wind is 92mph giving a wind chill of -90°.

Before they revised the wind chill formula many years ago that would have been about a -180°.

So true it'd be -220 tonight as the wind chill is to reach -100!!

Here are our Wind Chills:

It’s -20° right now in Lake Placid New York, actual temperature. On Whiteface Mountain 5 miles away the windchill right now is -82° below zero. Of course Mount Washington still leads the way at -92 below zero currently

17* and blustery here with a wind chill of 2*. Heading down to low single digits tonight. Most legit winter weather since Christmas-time.

My freind who I taught and coached works at Whiteface and they left early, skied down the mountain.  Said it was.

Our daily record low of -32F (set in 1963) has already officially been broken as of 1 pm EST and is expected to plunge even lower overnight.

Winds are howling here, gusts of 42mph!!

4 degrees. Winds a steady 25ish with gusts about 40 mph. A taste of winter without snow

5 degrees her with howling winds.Awful night to be outside.Hoping we get below zero for CP's sanity.

-2 here.Winds calmed down from the howling last night.Probably won't see these temps until next Wall.The worst thing for me is a cold and dry winter.Nothing as sharp as a Serpaents tooth then to have cold air like this and no snow.Anyway, if there had been a foot, it would all be gone by next week's torch.

-4 looks like that should be the low. Coldest in three years for me.

10* in New Hope...

Woke up to -4. Birds are happy to see food. Amazing creatures. They don’t seem fazed by the temperature

6.2 was the low.  Was not close enough to the vortex to crack 0.  This one was all about latitude.

Got down to a low of 6* here this morning. With diminishing winds wind chill not as brutal as last night. Cold day ahead but big temperature rebound tomorrow through the end of the week.

My deck was contacting yesterday afternoon. Sharp cracking sounds. Storm door got fog and ice on it when I brought in firewood and door was open for a bit. A few trees down in the woods I am seeing now

22 is the projected high. Wind was like a subway pulling in and out of station. Electric stayed on for which I thankful

My Low got down to 1*. Pretty impressive considering there is no snow pack remotely near by. Winds were absolutely howling out here last night. Baiting Hollow is the town next to me.

2* for my low.
Perplexed at no wind advisory last night. Had gusts ripping all night in low to high 40's. 
Very impressive indeed to have two major cold shots bookend at extremely warm period and break record lows with no snow pack!!!! That is what is fascinating. If snowpack of 6-10" tempes are easily 5-8* colder.

Low -1 degree

7 deg not as windy as last night

The low here was 2°F at around 7 am.  Wind chill was -12°F.  

This is too cold for me.  I’ll be glad to see this go.  Give me snow, but not this extreme cold.  I did learn through these two cold spells this season that I need to replace a couple of doors!

I took a walk to Dunkin’ Donuts this morning and when I returned my coffee became iced, and my ears fell off. So if you ever see me in public please use sign language

INSANE conditions on Mt Washington, NH. 120mph+ winds and -95°F wind chill. It is above the tropopause, meaning that these are stratospheric winds.
