Wow mugs. We never get anything even remotely as intense as that. Once every 10 yrs maybe lol. Glad there wasnt more damage hope you ok.

Made it up to 88° a little spritz of rain this AM. I haven't seen or heard a thunderstorm all summer. Pattern has been north and west all season favoring doc's area. Certainly could do without the flooding and downed trees mugsy had, but lawn likes a good soaking ever now and then.

These patterns, once set, are like concrete GreyBeard.My lawn was the greenest this summer it ever was in the 10 years I have been in this house.Last night was the worst T Storm of the season,torrential rains, frequent lightening and hail for almost an hour.Looked like they were training over me on the radar.
Right now 66, cloudy and calm.More rain on the way over the next few days.

My insurance agent in Monroe told me while on the phone things were bad. I saw your post, and got the cars quick into the garage. I had to go to Goshen and on 17 east near Legoland: very bad there and back. 65 now. Everyone, get the grass seed out and down.

With you doc..I have never had a green lawn at this time of year..lol

Love this rainy weather, been a long time since we had consistent rain for 2 days, I guess this lasts through Wed I think Frank mentioned? I at least got my garage sale hunting in yesterday, we found a guy who had a house and garage full of super rare video games and old boxed commodores some ultra rare like $4,000 ones, it was a total nerd out-gasm. We were able to convince him to sell some stuff, we offered to buy everything but I would had take a loan on my retirement funds (would been totally worth it, resale (and we did not even see the two room's inside prolly 6 fig. Fun day, we went to Cedar Grove, never been there before. We hit probably 60 garage sales from 7:30am-12:30pm, I try to find tiny towns/townships to cut down on the driving. We did not have any super severe storms yesterday but NJ side GWB dry watching tons lightning over Bronx and Westchester and was flooding when we got back. Cleared up in the evening for a bit. It has been a long while since we had a steady moderate to heavy rainfall like today all day, had a little thunder/lightning earlier.

About3:30 to 4 pm, what a cloudburst!

My son is at the Giants game and called me about 7:30 to check the radar, as cell service was terrible with so many people there tonight lol. Thankfully he brought his rain gear! I hope it stays away from us mugs, I'm too tired to keep track of rainfall totals and rain gauges for OEM. I also hope lightning doesn't become an issue at MetLife.

There is a big training t-storm just to my south, cannot tell where it is moving as it is nearly stationary. Bronx is getting hammered.

Just got notice power out at home ugg, rarely happens anymore. No outages shown in my area on ConEd site. Insane rains/flooding tons lightning. One struck near here (New Rochelle, NY) and I think must triggered something cuz fire dept went out right after in craze mode, might be a coincidence but would make sense.

Got an alert on my phone here in Middlesex County for a flash flood warning. Rained insanely hard for a few minutes here but I think some point just nw of me got a lot more

We got 3 in past 2 hrs most in first 30 min. I can see sun in nj but here storming lightning rain. Power back in part out building. Can anyone explain that?
