Probably got a little lucky here. Here in NW/Central NJ we had some very heavy rain this morning between about 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. There was minor flooding and also some ponding on the roadways, but luckily for this area it pretty much stopped after about 9 a.m. But for some light showers, we've been pretty dry the rest of the day. Had it continued raining here at the pace it did in NE NJ and the NYC metro area, we would have definitely had flooding issues.

So about 5 to 6 inches for me per wx underground last report. thats pretty solid. looks like it might actually be a nice day tomorrow unless rain somehow wraps back west. Is that supposed to happen?

AND thats exactly what the 3km nam, HRDPS and HRRR shows the precip looks to rotate back west in the next several hours and overnight before departing, has areas seeing another 4+ mainly eastern areas!!

Looks to me on radar that the system is starting to rotate the precip back NW and it eventually curves around back through NYC then ots, SO WE COULD BE IN FOR ANOTHER BOUT OF HEAVY RAIN, SOME OF THE sr MODELS SUPPORT THIS.

Currently a drizzle spray to light rain, moderate rain moving east to west looks to move into the area over the next few hours they slowly pivot out. goodbye opehlia for good. IMO this name should be retired for the devastation that was had even though technically this was no longer a TS or even post tropical system. Seen some pics from bronxville, NY (nothing but car roofs barely showing along and well inland from bronx river.) My daughters dance studio was heavily damaged (no dance but still have to pay for the month, I really do not feel that is fair especially if it will be prolonged without classes, I am sorry her nteachers studio got ruined but it is not our job to fund her repairs.) Bronx River is still at major flood stage, flood warning still in effect for that river until 5pm, but it may be extended, it has been 4x. I drove down by saw mill river in my neighborhood and it has receeded. Left a big mess and many homes flooded.

Yup last day of single digits month.
First frost n freeze by Oct 11th for many on our board in the burbs looking at maps.

Per Euro, and lesser on GS looks like next Fri/Sat is another rain storm by looks of it a front, but nothing will compare to this past weekend. I wish we could just move this repeat to like Mon-Fri, really don't care much about the week as at least I am working stuck inside all day (except Fri lol, I admit I snuck out alot since i was WFH to take pics of the flooding in my neighborhood. Still gotta get those pics up it was pretty bad. All is receeded now, was this morning.
