Three straight beautiful days here Sunday, Monday and today. Love this weather, although I've had to begin my annual chemical warfare with my allergies.
Enjoy today because it starts to go downhill tomorrow and by Thursday may only be in the upper 40s with rain. At least it looks to clear by the weekend.

SORRY ABOUT THE ALLERGIES... yes today is a glorious day! Painting the bottom of the boat and it's just lovely not hot and bothered..and about a month early this year..hope to have in the water this weekend.

I hope the 18z GFS is joking about 26-27th with 2-3 ft snow mainly in beantown but even N/W sees 4-6. Would that be a record late snowfall? I know it won't happen but shoot earthquakes, eclipse, late april early may snowstorm hahaha

Even though there is almost zero chance of this happening, I had to look at the models once I saw your post. lol. It appears the GFS has already lost this solution in the two subsequent runs so we can probably write that off and move on. lol (of course in the winter we'd say that means nothing 10 days out).  I was wondering the same thing. That output had about 8-12" of snow in Warren, Morris and Sussex counties which I have to assume would be close to a record for that late in April, but not certain.

Strong suspicion of an early season tropical/sub-tropical development in the Caribbean/Bahamas during the first 7-10 days of May. I don’t think it’ll be a threat for us, but it would fit the idea of a hyper-active, early to come, late to leave tropical season that seems to be gaining support. Then again, I thought this winter would have been a corker, and we all know how that turned out

Regardless, it would give us something to track besides all the lovely rain events we’ve been having lately lol

Ray, welcome back. Thank you for the insight. 45 here and damp. Dang chilly. I got 1.75 inches of rain. With the last two feet of drainage, the hill side of my property finally is wet but water-free. A two year project. You can build in a swamp if the water has a place to go

Thanks, Damian. I feel bad that I’ve been so absent for the last few months, but I just haven’t had enough hours in the days lately. I have a lot of things going on behind the scenes right now between my regular job, my secondary business, another project that I’ve been pursuing (seemingly for eons now :/ ), moving. I’ve pretty much been burning my candle at both ends and from the middle out lmao but I’m hoping that it finally starts to pay off later this year and into next year. I’ve definitely missed posting and missed you guys, though, and I’m going to try to be more present than I have been.

Frost advisories this morning and again tonight into tomorrow morning. Flirting with the freezing mark. On the positive side it looks like a big warm-up may be on the way for the weekend into early next week. Could get a nice run of days in the 70s, maybe near 80, next week.

End of this week hitting below freezing 30/31* is forecasted.
The NAO and MAR = Mid Atlantci Ridge look to hook up.
Spring will definitely srpung next week. Also, looks to be drier.

I have a black car so it looks horrid but getting a car wash is pointless and expensive as it will be back the same rain or not within a few hours.

I was hoping one of those downpours would rinse my car off (it's black too), but no luck. I think I'll just wipe it down and get it washed once all trees have popped. It's so annoying, and my car is garage kept, it's been covered just by being outside for a little while! Where is a nice heavy rain when you need it!

55 degrees at 7 pm. We had about 10 drops a bit earlier. On the house side with the drainage, i have some cracks in the soil due to extreme dryness. I have never seen that before. I too hope forca bit if rain to see what happens on that side.
