Still snowing in Franklin Square. Poked my head out of the side door and it is seriously coooold out there. Lots of drifting and can't see a reliably level place to measure, looks like a foot give or take. Will not be going to work in NYC today, hope the office closes, but either way it's going to be a long cold shovel out day for me.

CPK 11.0 inches as of midnight.

Morning,CP.

Went out and did a measurement and find I had over-reported my totals last night.I had said 5.5 inches getting that from the NWS chart but my area of Mahwah only had 4 inches.AVery sharp cutoff from the band for me.A matter of 5 miles would have doubled my total! I'm lucky to get the four and am glad I will see white out there for a while.Maybe the next few storms will even up the chart for me.

No, I had measured it last night at 4 but went with the NWS chart amount from a "trained spotter."

What on God's green earth do they do to "train" a spotter,LOL!

Reported 12.1 to the NWS. Quite a few measurements were above that but that was the most occurring number in my measurements. Not bad though without me seeing good banding throughout the day. Good storm area wide.
At about 170% of my normal snowfall now, at 31.7 inches.

Measured 9.5" last night and this is what I am going with. Very good storm and YES got the call we are OFF today.

2.4* here - WOW is it cold!!

I ended up with 14"!!! Measured in many spots, even measured 23" in a snow drift. This brings my season total to 35.3"! Im doing well this winter, already a good amount above normal yearly snowfall. East Northport, LI.

11.5 inches at Central Park is NYC's 40th biggest snowfall of all time.

2.3 inches in Highland Mills is one of my most disappointing snow falls of all time.

I normally don't post, but i do read al lthe post and learn about weather from this forum. Infact i have alot of people at work checking this site for the snow maps. So far they are spot on. Thanks again for the time you all put into these storms ...... Rich

NYC gets about a foot of snow and Boston gets 4 inches and all the TWC can do is talk about Boston, even this morning. They do have a serious bias.

BTW minus -3 here right now, tomorrow morning should be very interesting regarding low temperatures, with the deep snow cover everywhere, except the HV I believe sub zero even -10 will be seen.

about 11 inches here in Mount Vernon lower Westchester County.it was fun track in this stormwith you guys. II wish I had this site and all the other information that we have today when I was a kid. looking forward to the next few weeks. great job Frank and everyone else.

Yep, Mahwah gets about 35 inches avaerage from what I have recording snow totals since 1988.

You and Dunz did a lot better than me on this.I only got 4 inches.I guess the cutoff line was right over my house,LOL! I'm attending to my Mom's needs tomorrow in Fort Lee so I'll get to see the foot of snow they got down there.

Well weather.com has me for 13.4" here in East Northport, LI. That seems just about right. I was hoping to see 15" but I guess there wasn't much back building. All in all a very good storm!
