Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
Just want to put my 2 cents in....March 3rd is my birthday and I always remember huge snowstorms on or around my birthday...this storm will make me so happy...then I'll be able to accept the warmer temps. I'm feeling pretty lucky being smack in the middle of NJ!!

IS that mm pdubz, why is it so much more on that map than on others? That equates to 50mm for me which is 1.96 so almost 20 inches in 10:1.

I'm not listening to Frank or anyone else on here. DOE Chancellor Farina already said that mondays going to be a beautiful day and School will not be cancelled. And no, she does not look like a crazy old lady that sweeps her lawn.

At hour 57, the PV looks very nice. Hopefully it sets up right where I want it to...just southeast of the Hudson Bay

Lol, I find it slightly re-assuring the 0z NAM was so cold at 84, good sign, the NAM is usually terrible in the long range but it's bias there is usually far to the NW. Like the fact the pregame is cold but it doesn't mean much.

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
GFS is not splitting the PV like the EURO. No way this run. Euro was a blip run I think. It's ensembles disagreed with it.

1050 HP to the NW of North Dakota, strong NW flow for them, they've got to be several tens of degrees below zero. Makes me shiver thinking about it.

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
Blocking is stronger this run, PV is further south, energy in the southwest conus is impressive. This is looking awesome...

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
If the PV is stronger wont it push the boundary too far south?

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
PV flexing its muscle on the GFS, heights are oriented completely flat west to east instead of that SSW to ENE or even SW to NE deal we had in the past EURO runs.

Highly unlikely. Warm solution is a bigger threat when looking at OP runs and ensembles. Almost none show suppressed solution.
