Ohhhhhh, these damn backend events never work out for 95 coastal plain and lower elevations in general. Expect all rain for majority of storm with some non accumulating wet snow or wintry mix possible in the backend.

Re: Possible Nor'easter Dec. 9th-10th
That would be a blizzard verbatim with sustained 10m winds of 20-30mph sustained, I dunno dou buy it at all? Now I am real interested for the CMC and euro, what made that happen, it been rain for days.

I think we COULD see snow if the storm takes a track on the BM. Not west of it.

Re: Possible Nor'easter Dec. 9th-10th
I'll take that 10-12 in a heartbeat, and NJ if you follow the progression of the snowfall it actually starts at the beginning. Not back end.

Re: Possible Nor'easter Dec. 9th-10th
Problem is GFS is kinda alone isnt it? CMC and EURO and UKIE open up to the idea of colder and east not over us then ill be open to it but track seems to be getting more consistent of a hugger type thing not great with stale cold in early dec.Frank_Wx wrote:jmanley32 wrote:That would be a blizzard verbatim with sustained 10m winds of 20-30mph sustained, I dunno dou buy it at all? Praying?
Just kidding, but if you want to see this shift south you will need the GFS to crash the mid-level temps. much faster. This can be accomplished by a deepening storm (one that gets stronger as it tracks east-northeast of us). It's still possible, so we'll see. Lets see what foreign models say.

Shift it south I will be in 12-18 inches verbatim on GFS, ohhhh we can dream : ) So hoping CMC and Euro show some kinda change.

20 inches right over my house, Eastern Orange county gets blasted on that run but as we all know these maps never work out 3-4 days ahead of time. They will shift 3-5 times before then and who knows where everyone will be snow wise, if any snow, by then. It is certainly encouraging though.

Re: Possible Nor'easter Dec. 9th-10th
The euro along with the CMC has been on this storm since last Wednesday - the GooFuS is trying to come to the party late and steal all the best Booz and girls get the f out of here already it could not find a nut in a nut shop let week and now we r looking at it. It's verification score has been below par to say the least.
Euro shows a good run tonight - cmc will be to aggressive it's bias.
This is going to be a tough forecast even until tomorrow IMO.
