Re: Update #1: The Next One (1/26/15)
Yea, it's too far east but improved greatly at H5. Huge euro run today. Biggest of the winter.
Re: Update #1: The Next One (1/26/15)
[quote="amugs"]GFS does handle the northern stream vorts better and had a solution close to what the euro was showing in terms of the lp blowing up off the coast and giving us light to moderate snow - we have time and it being delayed helps us why? Cause it gives the 2nd piece of energy time to catch up and A phase into a bomb nearer the coast and two possibly tug the LP west. Hey as Frank said the change is here, real and now so lets embrace it after what we have been through this winter - wouldn't you agree??[/quote
AGREED. After what we've had so far this is a refreshing change. Time for optimism again. Let's hope for a nice event Mon/Tues to get all of us solidly into the middle teens for seasonal totals. Frank great job at the get together nailing this time period. Impressive call.

I'll take it. The cape gets destroyed even worse. Frank the LP looks like it barely moves off the BM while deepening and actually retrogrades a little no??

Re: Update #1: The Next One (1/26/15)
Frank it seems like if this storm gets it act together, it would be a large storm, as far as strength and size. I looked at the NAM, and yes it was improved at the upper levels. I think the EURO will continue with the big storm idea; was not that far off from an all out HECS for the NY metro area. If the 12z EURO shifts west today, this board will explode! Sometimes our biggest storms come out of nowhere. My gut tells me the EURO sniffed something out last night, and the other models will be playing catch up.

So what needs to come together for this storm to pan outm is the cold air locked in and is their blocking

Re: Update #1: The Next One (1/26/15)
Okay - I posted this earlier about the second piece of energy that it will either phase or pull the LP back towards the coast - it is strong so it has the powers - I feel another 50-100 mile tick (somewhat wish casting but really believe it in this set up) and we all are fn jumping around like 5 year old when mom yells cake at the bday party!!!
SYO you did it so no lying to me brother.
Love teh trend and what we are seeing - EURO bringing the goods??

Re: Update #1: The Next One (1/26/15)
You know that fantasy dream we all have? No not that one.
Where a huge cold storm sits near the benchmark and even retrogrades slightly and just sends snow in continuous waves westward over us. Well that's what this looks like, so I must be dreaming.
