still snowing real good about an inch an hour. 2+ inches otg did not measured just observed

all the major airports including white plains are reporting heavy snow with vis. about a 1/4 mile. philly which was rain at 2am is back to light snow. good sign. also winds are out of the ne now

I see all the snow zombies couldn't sleep either,LOL!

Appears to be snowing heavily up here.Can't see how much on the ground but at least a few inches.Glad folks south of me are still all snow and that report from Al that Philly went to light snow from rain is good news.Had a feeling this storm would surprise.

Al NWS WWA still calling for .1-.2 ice, as is the special wx statement saying its going to change over at coast but we may be just far enough inland to stay snow, or be the frz line.

as of 4am cp has .36" liquid which should translate to 3.6" of snow. with 3 good hours of mod snow left you think nws should up their snow totals. 6" looks like a lock. they will probably go to a ws warning after they have that 6" otg and when precip shuts off.lol off to bed for a couple of hours will be up at 7 to see if I can stay all snow.

WSW up in NJ, coming east, I bet if this continues entire area will be in WSW. Just was out dunzoo is 100% correct, quiet big flakes perfect heavy wet snow everything is covered and tress bowing a bit, 3 inchs so far here and snowing pretty hard.

Woke up and saw that the changeover has occurred. The snowpack has been "quilted" due to the mixing. But I just made a snow measurement with what I got just now and measured 3.5" of snow. I'll take it.

Great Morning! Nice front end snow for most it sounds like!! Measured about 30mins ago. Official avg measurement was 4.8" but moderate rain has been falling for about an hr or two. It was def up over 5". Heavy wet. Miserable to shovel, but ILL TAKE IT!!!.

FWIW EURO was epic for LI for Monday.Will discuss further in other thread

Eyeballing around 6 inches up here.Light snow.Radar looks like about an hour or so to the finish, breaking up to the south and west.This thing is flying by!
