I heard the same thing from another poster in Toms River. Positive bust likely for you guys along the shore.
How much on the ground, Ace?

I think we will see 3, maybe 4 inches at best.
Still wishing for the 4-6 though.
Flakes getting bigger here. 29* and heavy snow with just over an inch otg.

Doubting the 4-6 here, its beginning to pile up but radar doesnt look super robust out west and just now accumulating on roads and maybe a couple slushy inches on grassy areas. Thinking 2-4 to end on all surfaces. Looks like RGEM/NAM werd more correct with higher amnts to the south and in PA.

I kind of forget what heavy snow is.
Does that mean the snow itself weighs a lot or it's just falling at a rapid pace? If it means the latter I'm not familiar with the concept.

Getting some moderate-heavy snow bands here. Grass is covered with snow.
Anyway, with Central Park's 2 PM measurement of 0.2", the seasonal snow total went from 42.5" to 42.7", surpassing the 2003-04 season's 42.6" to become the 30th snowiest season on record.

Haha...but really this snow has high water content....probably extremely poor ratios under 10:1 since intensity depending temps are varying between 31 and 34...mostly above 32CPcantmeasuresnow wrote:Quietace wrote:Probably the heaviest snow all winter...absolutely incredible ratesFrank_Wx wrote:Quietace wrote:Getting absolutely slaughterered with 2" hr plus rates

Ace, I remember that well in Mahwah when we had that bizarre February snowstorm where it rained in Boston and the HV got 36 inches. In Mahwah, the temp was 33 and the snow compacted to a brick of 9 or 10 inches.25 miles away in Monroe NY there was 36 inches!

Heavy snow now and getting that slushy accumulation starting now at 32* so it will start to stick to everything now.

Very pretty outside with the layer of snow on everything, the beauty if snow and nature. Just enjoying every flake and we aren't done yet for the season peeps. IF we had 28* temps this would be a good snow storm.
I have 1.5" on my resurfaced snow board that I have not seen in 2 months!

If this had started six hours later at 6 pm instead of noon it would have made a huge difference in many spots.
