In contrast, the first week of November 2015 and the second week of March 2016 both felt like May.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
The Philly to SNJ area will get slammed tonight. Some of these storms will creep into our area too. A solid 1-2" on the way with higher amounts for those under t-storms

Wasn't a big deal here, just chilly and rainy absolutely abomination for May 3rd weather. Am looking forward to the warm up and hoping it stays that way.
Question: Does Saturday look good? I have outdoor plans starting early in the morning and if it rains its not going to be good, even drizzle will be enough to have me indoors. If Saturday is not good what about Sunday? Thanks

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Payback time by Big Momma peeps!
47* this morning and light rain.
Grass is going to bust out once we get the sun to come back. I guess this is what it is like in the NW of America.
Recorded .15" of wetness since last evening.

Haven't watched the weather this closely since hoping for a snow day last winter. Daughter is getting married on the 21st and I'm praying for this chilly, wet weather to be GONE!

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Rain expected through most of the day Friday. Scattered showers persist into Saturday and Sunday too, but for the most part it should be a dry weekend. Just not as much sun unfortunately.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
50* with the ever-present layer of gray skies and swirling mist. I am really in a foul mood which I directly attribute to this weather since there isn't enough other stuff going on to justify it. I could never live in the Pacific Northwest or London if this is what it's like all the time. I'd be a serial killer in two months.

Re: May Observations and Discussion
Yes, exactly-an ever present swirl of grayness and mist. At night the last few weeks, the house has had that little cool edge on it, just enough to burn the woodstove at night. Right now at 3:30 am it is 50 degrees outside but it seems to feel a bit warmer than that. Misty, damp. Grass is about eight inches high. Will we ever see the sun?
