Question: Is it best to look at the 12k, the 4k or the 3k on the NAM?

Frank,
Your opinion on the winds.....LI, NYC and JS......Your map showing the sustained w/gusts could be a major issue with cold temps wed and thurs.

I'm confused. On the NWS website we are shown to have a 90% chance IMBY of 12"+. Then on the Same Web Site we are shown to have a 60% chance of greater than 12" and now this shows almost no chance of greater than 12". Really Confusing

12k NAM: 10"
4k NAM: 16"
Should I just split the difference?

One thing is still very apparent; models still have zero idea of what to do with banding. One mega-band, two parallel bands, bandlets? This depends on H5 and the how the jets evolve.

Re: March 14, 2017 Roidzilla 1st Call Snow Map / Synopsis
Southern westchester, or general area just north of NYC (I know you do not like IMBY questions, sorry) but will rations be any higher than 10:1 or will those insane winds keep it at 10:1? Also how confident are you that winds will reach or exceed 60mph gusts in your red area? What do u think ceiling is?Frank_Wx wrote:This is 10:1
