July Disco/ Observations

Folks,
We'll we had some firewirks from Mamma nature Saturday and in isolated areas yesterday and even some firing up over CNJ areas.
Wave train #6 incoming that will put a trough over us this weekend incoming. We look to rebound then after and another wave looks to be on ots way mid/later time frame.
Ray, one of our most knowledgeable mets here talked about this in the June Disco.
Big PNA spike in the west big ridge there equals trough in the NE.

A cool and comfortable 64 degrees early this morning. A lot of fifties out there even on Long Island. No heat for at least 7 days which will take us into mid-july and halfway through meteorological summer. Nice!!!

Hey, Al , nice to see ya!! Yep, yesterday morning low was 59 and this mornings was 55.BEAUTIFUL July 4th here, sunny, low humidity.As you say, another cool week as we get to mid July.Waiting for the blowtorch,lol.

look at the polar vortex in s/e Canada. look at the blue mixed in....... that's snow!!! very rare to happen even up there this time of year.

Never mind I got my answer I'm getting soaked and wet at LaGuardia Airport I'm getting a nice shower LOL 68 degrees with heavy rain at LaGuardia

Mugsy, thanks for the shoutout!! And Al, I am continuing to see evidence for this pattern persisting, so it could be interesting. Btw, Greenland might have set the all-time record lowest temperature for this month with a low of -33°C.........between the snow map and that echoes of Bing Crosby's "(I'm Dreaming of a) White Christmas" are starting to propagate into my mind

RB I have a great feeling that this winter is going to be a great one esp for us snow weenies . I noticed some of the trees has some brown and yellow already hopefully it's a great sign for a good winter I hope we have another 95-96 again
