Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
Instead of navigating all of the threads, I'm consolidating my reply to everyone at once. Frank, Kuroda is done, 39 yrs. old, 200 innings on that elbow, he's shot, send him back to Japan next season, do not pick up his option. As for the 29 lurkers, some of us just like to read your input and do not have anything left to add because you pretty much cover it all, (especially QuietAce) and u too Frank. To NoFo.... the wife took the kids to a BDay party tonight, wanted nothing more then to jump on the boat and go scouting for some Bass, what did i get?????????????25 MPH winds from the North , go figure. Hopefully the seas lay down by Sunday and I can try again......

Mako, I think he's just fatigued. But he has pitched better than I anticipated tonight.

Yeah, Definitely some frosts and even freezes in some places. Very good radiational cooling and cool 850's will do that to you in September.lenny9497 wrote:Has me at 43/44F but wow thats cold for the interior.

A little too close for comfort. Wish I was there to see it though. I saw one on the Sound about 20 years ago.

Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
Rain will come an end in an hour. Should be dry rest of the day. Sun may even try coming out.
Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
It appears going forward we will be under a zonal pattern with some mid-level trough's dropping in due to the tanking NAO from a positive state to a negative one. This would lead to mainly average temps with quick-hitting rain storms moving along the jet. Positive heights are not just extending into the northern Atlantic and Greenland, but also into central Canada, which is acting as a balancing mechanism for our pattern downstream from getting amplified with ridges or trough's, hence the progressiveness.
Meawhile, the Pac. NW and Alaska will be under the influence of negative anamolies since they are behind the blocking and the PV's are currentely located on that side of the world

Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
Models backed off slightly on how low temps will get Tuesday night, but its still in the low 40s and high 30s for NW NJ and Conn. Mid 40s to 50 along the coast...

Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
It looks like temps will get lower tonight than they were last night. Northwestern NJ is under frost advisories.
Re: September 2013 Observations & Discussions Thread
My weather station is showing a temp of 47F already, got down to 45F last night. Maybe I'll get down into the upper 30s? Or is that overdoing it?
