I have just been super busy of late I was trying to catch up. Beaches are going to get the brunt plus its a full moon. I was wondering if anyone has ideas on when changeover occurs and when do the winds start to crank

It was a delicious panini. I'm hoping its a harbinger of good things to come from this storm.

Once the axis of the 500 mb low crosses the coast, you will change to snow by 10 or 11 am. The winds will pick up and the snow will be pasted to the sides of buildings with Blizzard like conditions. Hang in there.
Thanks - I've been reading what you have been saying. Keeping the faith!

I can tell this much. There isn't a shortage of moisture. Pennsylvania is getting socked with rain right now.

dewpoints around my area appear to be near 40*. I'm thinking once the rain gets going my temps will drop into the low 40s pretty quickly. Already has dropped from a high of 60 to 51* in a little over two hours and the rain is just starting.

I will not be able to take part in many feetivities tonight I'm at work, but all I ask IS TO PLEASE TRUST THE PROCESS. **WE ARE ALREADY HOURS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE WITH RESPECT TO COASTAL DEVELOPMENT** WHICH BODES VERY WELL FOR EVERYBODY. GIVE IT TIME, AND BE PATIENT; I suspect WSW snowfall criteria will be met for all above I-78, with WWA criteria met from there south. THIS SYSTEM WILL SURPRISE MANY, AND THIS WILL BE THE DAY WE ALL REMEMBER AS THE DAY THAT EVERYBODY WAS MADE HAPPY. I have to say I feel pretty good about the way things are developing so far. But even if I didn't, your optimism is infectious. lol. So I'm just going to ride with it. Hey trust the process has gotten the 76ers into the playoff hunt this year so there is something to be said for it.

So just for fun just took a look at the 06z and 18z NAM precipitation projections for this time and compared it to the current radar. I-DENTICAL. Right down to rain/snow lines, precipitation types and precip location.

Ha Imagine your a deer. Your prancing along, and... the Low transfers off the coast and bombs out and draws in cold air and it changes you over to heavy wet snow!

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
I think most on here could do without the wind aspect, as even wind advisory will knock over trees with heavy wet snow, go be a lot of people in the dark, if as large a area as NWS showed maybe hundreds of tousands total encompassing several states. We will see soon enough, I am on the A list for staying home so if there are going to be some students at my school tomorrow A list gets to stay home, B list is next one. If its bad enough to keep all kids home then no one goes in thats how it works. The kids come from all over some well inland so we will see, I will hear by 6am.rb924119 wrote:billg315 wrote:So just for fun just took a look at the 06z and 18z NAM precipitation projections for this time and compared it to the current radar.
