Over 5 inches in Stillwater NJ at 1190 ft altitude, power went out a hour ago , wooo -hooooo !

Here, really quite heavy sleet. Temp is 38 at 10:25 am. In Rockland County, in-laws say it is terrible and snowing hard. Uncle in the city says it is snowing to beat the band. Here, just the sleet and some wind but seemingly quiet right now.

What time is this going to end? If this keeps going power is going to be lost for many people with this heavy wet snow and wind.

Snow is starting to stick to some grass and trees here. It’s a slow process but it’s happening. Roads wet.

Still heavy snow here occasionally mixed with sleet only sticking to the Shaded colder surfaces anything in Sun melting on contact

Damn, it's actually starting to snow here in Mt. Holly. Just a few small flakes mixed in with 90% rain. But way earlier than expected.

That snow line made a big push to the West about 20 minutes ago. Really filled in most of Central NJ which had been a rain/snow mix. Now all snow in Flemington at 33.

Just drove from Port Chester where it’s a sleet storm to White Plains where it’s 32°F and snowing. HARD. Grass getting covered, roads slushy.

wind blows = big flakes. light intensity

no wind = rainy mix

past radar: southern half of NJ getting enveloped in snow

future radar: entire 95 corridor down to the coast all rain, effective immediately.

Interesting day so far...perfect for having the day off and nothing to do but watch it unfold!
