Also would note my precip has ended and my dew point is 21* which tells me temp will drop some when next round of precip comes in.

Frank has been screaming MADONNE all day, I guess he has laryngitis.
He’s in his 20s with a girlfriend
The only thing could have possibly made that post anymore brilliant would have been a comma between "20s" and "with"

Unfortunately the am rush might seem ok, but conditions are supposed to deteriorate quickly

Agreed with scully, what looks manageable in the am will become treacherous later.

Not bragging but the area they circled almost matches my "gold" area on my snow map.

As long as this governor does not make "stronger than the storm" commercials, we cool.
amugs wrote:GEFS HOLY CRAP ARE THEY WET!!
I can say something but will not.
dsix85 wrote:Frank- are you surprised blizzard warnings haven't been posted? I know the criteria required to have a blizzard...is it because the snow is such a wet, heavy snow there won't be near zero visibilities for 3 hours? The wind forecast certainly screams blizzard.
Actually snow won't be as heavy as you think. Temps will crash into the 20s by mid to late afternoon as brunt of storm arrives. BUT, yes...blizzard warnings should have been issued.

Finished watching Justice League with my gf. It was ok. Flash reminds me of Jman in the oddest way.

I love you.
mikeypizano wrote:Ok guys, lemme ask: How much snow am I likely to see in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area?
Minimal.
syosnow94 wrote:WHY HAS MY TEMPERSTURE JUMPED 4 DEGREES IN THE LADT HOUR?
No joke, real time obervations show the low tracking well west. Could warm up the coast and cut down snowfall dramatically.
....kidding, guy.

I laughed. Also accurate.

My choices are nutella or nutella. I'll go with nutella.
Smittyaj623 wrote:Frank, love ya, no chat needed now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the ride
Love you too. Extra snow for you.

Upper level jet streak at the backside of the trough is sexy. That is going to add fuel to the fire.

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations
People are asking about rising temperatures. We're under an easterly wind. As the low bombs out tomorrow afternoon, winds will shift from east to northeast to north. Cold air will get funneled into the storm.

I know that much but shoot if we have to wait till the afternoon for temps go crash we may be wasting a bunch of QPF

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations
Also, check to see what your wet-bulb temperature is. That is the temp you will likely be at once it starts to precipitate. It is below freezing for most.

Also, check out these DP's. These temps coupled with cold 850's is why most of us will see mostly snow tomorrow.
