That temp map doesn't match up with upper air levels.....

Yes it does, and that's the tricky part of it :p remember, we don't don't live at 500hPa. So just because there's a "ridge" over us doesn't mean that we will necessarily see warmth result. There's a strong Canadian high pressure centered north-northwest of NY State based on that H5 map, and with clockwise circulation it's driving the cold air southward - hence the term "backdoor front". It's coming in from the north-northeast and pressing/sagging southward rather than pushing in from the west. These setups are NOTORIOUS for getting forecasters in trouble, as Mikey pointed out, the gradient is SHARP, and if you're on the cold side, it feels like November, but five miles away it could be sunny and 75 lol pains to forecast, and very often overlooked.

All the more reason I'll be in Cape May County Saturday evening. The front lines in North Jersey may collapse under that backdoor front, but South Jersey should stands its ground until Sunday.

Was great today but got rained out. I got 2 cleanups done though and tomorrow I will cut the first yard of season!

I'm also hearing many different forecast for the summer some saying cooler than normal and wet. Others saying hot and dry. Will anyone be putting out a long range summer forecast.

I forgot to post these yesterday, had a long hard day yesterday. My first job was a raking one which took me longer than I liked, but the second job was the first mowing of the season! It wasn’t a lot of growth but it took off about a good half inch. I took a pic of the front where it was a little taller but that one didn’t save for some reason. The last job was a tilling job, plus my own garden. We got up to 82 yesterday as well.

What a great spring.

Someone has flipped the switch already it was 73 degrees about an hour ago now it's 60 degrees and getting very windy

Getting chilly out there down to 55 degrees after early high of 73

dropped 20 degree's in the last couple of hours
