Going to Sleepy Hollow area this evening and need to cross the Tappan Zee. Any idea where I can find if there are/will be speed restrictions? I tried Google and it’s not really helpful.

Plenty of rain last night. Some good strong gusty winds now. The leaf fall has accelerated dramatically in the past 24-36 hours.

Windy here and defoilaged trees big time.
Look at its shot of cold air holy snipes peeps. We have waves of cold arctic intrusions tjis.month with reprieve and along with these shots are storms. If we can time one out inland sees snow but we may be able to get flakes to the coast. MAYBE.

It was three inches of rain yesterday for me. Nice gusts of wind. Maybe not as much as predicted. Today, I see clearly the wind and rain did a job on the leaves. It seems the wind took the leaves down and blew them off my front lawn and into the woods for the most part. If we get another 3-4 inches tomorrow and Fri, I can't see how the streams and rivers won't say uncle.

I feel like we are real close to one of those rain ending as snow events in the next couple of weeks. The models are showing a lot of rain systems with cold air crashing in behind them. My guess is, given the time of year and the progressively colder air filtering down, its only a matter of time before one of these produces snow on the back-end. These types of events might only leave us with a coating before they move out, but I wouldn't mind waking up on one of these mornings leading up to Thanksgiving with a white coating on the trees and car tops.

Well, well, well. What a surprise. More rain coming. Tomorrow. Maybe an inch but when the NWS says that, I always look for 3-4 inches. We'll see.

Yes, look at the snow maps for the alternate GFS, of course its not going to happen but 12z models give snow even to the coast, even Euro but like 2-4.

My bad it was the 06z Gfs alt on the 7th and 00z gem for 7th. I saw it on facebook yesterday but didn't see the actual run date. Still nice to snow on the maps even if its fantasy right now. It won't b forever and I hope all these storms keep marching along all winter.

We are going to get soaked later this afternoon through the evening. There will be cases of flooding in some parts of the area. The NAM has the low pressure passing over Jersey Shore around 8pm tonight bringing very heavy rain.

Movember - Page 2 Namconus_ref_frzn_neus_13

Total rainfall between 1-2 inches but it's all falling in a short period of time, hence the flooding concerns.
