Loosen, better remove the spark plug with a wrench to be safe. Working the blade could have caused it to spin a compression cycle. This is true for push mowers especially and worth going off topic about. Glad your mower works

Damien good advice to mwilli.

Peeps here is the next issue coming that I have been harping on for over a month now - a systematic shut down and break down of the food chain supply.

https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/494772-tyson-foods-takes-out-full-page-ad-the-food-supply-chain-is-breaking
Get it while you can peeps cause there will be even more hysteria when this hits Main Stream.

Tyson Foods executives said in a full-page ad published Sunday that the closure of food-processing plants due to the coronavirus is “breaking” the supply chain.

In a full-page ad published in The New York Times, The Washington Post and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, board chairman John Tyson wrote that “the food supply chain is breaking," saying farmers will be left without anywhere to sell livestock and "millions of animals — chickens, pigs and cattle — will be depopulated because of the closure of our processing facilities."

"There will be limited supply of our products available in grocery stores until we are able to reopen our facilities that are currently closed," he added

That's ok, I'm not a fan of Tyson, Perdue for me! geek

But I did heed your warning and kept an eye on this. When you mentioned it a few weeks ago, I stocked up on soups with meat in them since my freezer isn't that big. I also had to think of my mom, who I am trying to keep out of the stores. Be safe everyone!

Avoided a crises by doing this. Don't really care what peeps think of him but this action, as I have been following this for over a year now we still may have issues, is a MAJOR step in the right direction:
BREAKING: Trump plans to order meat processing plants to STAY OPEN, declaring them critical infrastructure under Defense Production Act. Order meant to stave off shortage of beef, chicken, eggs, pork. Plant closures could have shut down as much as 80% of capacity, source says.

Mugs I agree that is the right step to avert a food crisis in this country - which btw would be worse than this virus. It should be noted Smithfield’s large pork processing plant in SD was shut down around April 10-12. Apparently 500 workers tested positive. I don’t know how many actually died, but wouldn’t be surprised if the number is zero since there have only been 11 deaths in SD total, statewide. But even if there were, the bigger point is, that was almost 3 weeks ago. Almost all of those 500 who tested positive should be safe to come back to work by now, or in the next few days at the latest. They likely now have immunity to the virus so don’t need to worry about catching or spreading it. And that reduces the risk of further spread. So that is at least one plant that should be back online with LESS risk than before it was shutdown.

This is apocalyptic if it were to occur. No chance at accumulate on the coastal plain. This would be equivalent to snow on Labor Day weekend , same sun angle. In Banter for this reason.

Quote to Ponder
“ Let your food by thy medicine,
And your medicine be thy food.”
– Hippocrates
(one of the original doctors)

Not Fast foods peeps!!!!
That medicine will ultimately kill you in the end.

Speaking of the shortages are coming - start your stockpile if you have not already on pork, beef and chicken.

4-5 million chickens have been culled (killed), 1 million each of dairy cows are being culled, cattle and hogs. Farmers are going belly up just like MANY restaurants if they don't start the reopening process. People will ultimately die from other causes that this virus. Gov't program is too late - it is to pay the farmer to KILL their livestock .... then what when they have no product to sell?? You can't produce baby's from thin air.
AND Cargill, a leading meat conglomerate in America and Smithfield foods are owned by foreign proportions in.....China and Brazil.

At my Sam’s, the meat lockers were bare. 10 rotisserie chickens. 8 salmon packs. Some sausage. Otherwise completely empty racks and lights out behind the counter. No roasts, no steaks, no breasts, thights, nada. How long will this be going on

For a while my man, you can't just make 1 mlion dairy and cattle head combined. The other issues are the 14 processing plants that are closed. This maybe worse than the pandemic itself if it last into the fall which are most projections currently by farm trading sites.
I've been qarni g people since Feb to get a deep freezer and start to stock up.

Wendy and McDonald's-26% of chains store have limited to NO BEEF!!! If this isn't tell tale and you do t see this then you are in trouble. The gov't can't make meat and we should not be relying on them. Meat is going to be a black market item, you watch or priced out the qazoo!!

GREAT !!! I get my 1/4 of a steer on June 10th at $3.80LBS - Malafy in Red Hook ( where do you go?) I have a 11.5 cu ft freezer. I bought 40lbs of boneless chicken breasts at $1.10 a lbs at Minella's Poulry in Paterson back in late March. Budddy's friend works for Thuman's and said - chicken cutlets, boneless breasts - good luck getting those by mid may - so I bought 20lbs of the breaded frozen type and 20 lbs of fingers as well. Two oler boys in our home and that will last thorugh August before they go back to college, which they all will.
I am getting a 50lbs sack of flour from one of my students parents at $40!!! Making our pasta each week and ravioli's and then dry canning it and freezing it. I'll be sitting pretty with food when this hits hard.

If the cow is 1200 lbs, figure 66% left after butchering or close to 800 lbs. about $3,000. A half cow is about 35lbs per cubic freezer foot. So 400 lbs=about 14 cubic ft of freezer space, chock full. Mist likely you need a few cubic feet more

Mom Malafys in Red Hook NY about 2 .5 hours from you. There are wineries and farmstead around there as well. You can easily make a day of it but bring a few coolers for the meat.
Look them up on the internet. You maybe able to get something if he gets a cancelation.

About 140 -150 lbs for a 1/4 steer costs $760 roughly.
1/2 about 280-300 lbs costs abou $1500

@ Doc yes Sal!!!
@ Danien what a small world. Have my order in for the fall for a 1/2 I am splitting with 3 other guys. His meat is delicious!!
