That back edge looks like it stopped moving. Here under the same light to occasionally mod snow.

By the way snowing real good here again. Measured 13" at noon.
At Noon? So you're probably between 16-18 inches??

Even in Cranford I was hearing sleet as late as 5:00am. It took a long time for the cold air to move in.

Jman I do love you but, people must be accountable for what they say even in times of duress. As many of us approach or exceed a foot of snow I believe this post from this morning deserves some form of suspension. Possibly no mentions of wind of any kind for two weeks? I will leave that to the Administrators.
I love Jman too, but he has to answer for this and we have the appropriate punishment in the basement of the OTI Sanitarium

Looks like 15" or so. Going out soon. Has been lighter until 10 minutes ago. Now puking again. Scott must have gotten crushed.

Wind is howling in Toms River, but roads are fine, bummed about about the snow totals. Hoping for a freeze.

13.2 inches as of 2pm with heavy snow.
I don't even know where it's coming from anymore nor do I care, it's awesome. Next stop 15.

Mom, I agree with you about sleet keeping our totals down. It was sleeting in Middlesex county until after 6am!! We have between 5 and 7 inches.

It woke me up it was so loud...I fell asleep to it about 5 or so..but when I woke up again everything was snow covered..and we had 2 inches...I would say we have around 6 hard to measure this one...I am happy!!

Re: February 9, 2017 Godzilla: Final Call & Observations
So the sun is now out and the snow shoveled (twice because when public works plowed to the curb the slush/snow flew all over the sidewalk my neighbors and I had shoveled, so had to go back out. Btw this is not a complaint about those guys, they do a good job and I'm GLAD they plowed to the curb so I can park there. Just bad timing in my part). In summary, while this storm underperformed yesterday's projections for me, it was exactly what I was expecting (and what Frank projected) two days ago, and MORE than I expected three days ago. So while it wasn't as fun as the Jan. 2016 blizzard for me, it was still fun, and very much welcome in a winter that hadn't been so great up until now. I put this in the win column. (Frankly while we all love 12-24" storms, a 6"-plus storm around here is, historically speaking, pretty significant).

I personally think Ray had a fantastic forecast. Nailed the JS, CNJ, and most other locations. N&W of NYC got more than 10 but this was a wacky storm.
