Folks N&W should pay attention to the short term forecast. Perhaps a little white stuff flying around overnight Sat into Sunday. 500mb is interesting so far on today's 12z runs. Not sounding any alarms just yet but my ears are perked.

Looks like a gully washer Thursday night into Fri morning.

36* this morning some patchy frost in Hillsdale at 6:30AM - drove into the valley (Saddle River) and it was 33* and heavy frost amazing.

NYC was at 46* -UHI at its best!

32.8* here this morning. Nice frost. Next step is snow! lol

Cut this in half I would say but we'll see - with front as strong as this is it may be brief sudden gusts in this range

Storms will be moving through here in a few hours and last a few hours before it moves through. Windy rainy conditions and we are in teh warm sector then turning colder after it moves through and the winds change to a N NW direction

My rain gauge had almost nothing in it this morning. Then later this morning, it opened up for a while. When it had stopped raining, 2.25 inches in the new rain gauge.

Getting chilly fast.

Check out the contrast between morning temps between the N coast of LI vs maybe 2.5-3miles inland over the pine barrens. 10* difference. LI Sound is still pretty warm. Low 60’s I believe.

I have seen busted temps lower at night by about 3* and some higher and some lower during the days by about 2-3* at time these past two weeks. Last week was about 3-4* colder that pronged.

Same here! Forecast low was 45. Low was actually 38.3. Been happening most nights with clear skies and calm winds. Big temp drop today after the spring feel

Well was hiking up on the Mountain in Stillwater NJ around 12:30 today about 1500 feet elevation and it started Raining , Sleeting with Thunder and Lightning! First sign of winter this year,

Had hail here at my friends place in LI City

38 mph wind gusts.

Pea size hail

Lights flickered for 20 minutes

Pretty intense bolts of lightening

All in the middle of Nov!

We had the BB size hail in Bloomfield. A friend in Jersey City had pea size plus.

House shaking winds now.

Same here yesterday in Monroe NY.Looked like wet snowflakes were mixed in with that hail that fell.Good lightening and thunder as well.

Yesterday’s line of storms was intense over LI. We had tornadoes touch down.  My sons soccer game got stopped and the fields cleared when it moved through. Tornado touched down just to our immediate south by only a half a mile. We were in Islip. All hell broke loose while we were sitting in the cars. 50-60mph winds, CTG lightning, pea sized hail and the phone alerts going off saying get immediately into a basement freaking out the kids.

Here are a few after pics and some Instagram pics of damage.

Quite some pictures! Yesterday, my wife said it poured torrentially at the Galleria mall near 84. 7 miles away, it drizzled here at home. No hail. Just thunder with some lightning but for an hour or so before the rain, it was really dark, like it was near sunset-that's how dark. My rain gauge had very little in it. Winds had picked up as if there was more coming but nothing more. Doc, I did see a video of people driving near 87 and 17 in Harriman. Sliding, pulling over, real bad stuff. South in the county was where it all happened.
