not sure why rb touted the HRRR NYC area sees 6 inches (maybe 8 or 9 if 15:1) and just north 3-4, def not whole board, same spots jackpot as older runs.

that literally cuts westchester in half, either I am going to be under that or not by a few miles. NYC more likely, wont that be something NYC seeing more than westchester and north. But it is what it is, snowing lightly things are starting to coat, even roads which are very wet. 30 degrees out, still pretty warm not go see over 10:1 with 30 degrees.

Not a great look for anyone west / nw of the axis from trenton to nyc

I could be completely off basis. But I see radar echos starting to pop back towards Scranton.

I caught a glimpse of the 00z SPC Meso Analysis of the H3 jet structure before it updated at 0100z, and specifically, the northern 130kt jet streak over the northern Mid-Atlantic, and oh boy. It was markedly further west of any guidance for the same time. If we can get that streak differentiated from the rest of the wind field, look out. They won’t be worth anything, but we might see some big 00z runs tonight to add to the madness.

This brings it into NY Metro and a tad west.

I see now, but it didnt really change the surface at all, is that not relavent at this point?

25dbz bands expanding into NNJ now. Seeing 30dbz show up in parts of SNJ. That’s a nice rate

The darker green is knocking on my door. And I can see on radar it is slowly expanding/advancing to NW. Good signs, im so tired I fell asleep in my chair, I may not make it

Look at that SW to NE orientation in the banding. Pretty extreme

LOL google weather says rain starting in 20 min....u cant get much worse of a forecast than that. Very very fine snow here coating on almost everything.

30* with Light Snow here. Waiting on some moderate bands to make it this far N and W.

Snowing in Stillwater NJ at 1190 feet altitude, still have 6 solid ( frozen ) inches on the ground from previous snow, Temperature is 27 degrees. Hiked up top of the mountain today to the Appalachian Trail at 1605 feet altitude and there is 10 inches of snow. The snow coming down now at 27 degrees feels wet? If you close your eyes it feels like light rain ? Weird.
