March 12 2022 Strong and Fast Moving Storm - Winter's last stand for interior?

Moderate to heavy wind blown snow.All areas covered now.

41 degrees and a few minutes of sleet turned into a few minutes of graupel, and now it's full on snow.

Heavy Sleet as winds have picked up and temps dropped from 43* to 37* in the last 35 minutes

35°F and snowing pretty hard.  Wind is howling and blowing snow sideways

It changed to all snow about half an hour ago.  Starting to stick, even on paved surfaces now.

Sleet snow mix.....ahead of schedule by about 1/2 and 2 hours to NWS map amof changeover time.

White rain now in midtown Manhattan. Way early.

HEAVY wind-whipped snow in Hopatcong. Changed over just before 9 AM.

Everything including roads already covered. May be the nicest snow of the season here....

Just took a good walk.  Very nasty outside, but in a good way.

Moderate to heavy wind whipped snow.  Visibility about 1/4 mile with wind gusts well over 30 mph.  Getting close if not at blizzard conditions.

About 1.5" on grass with roads completely snow covered about 1".

Oh happy day!

Mid-level storm is in tight to the coast.  This is a classic track for interior.

Got to be near blizzard anyway.Heavy wind driven snow.Best snowstorm of season so far up here.

I’ll agree with doc on that one, 32.6° and heavy snow. Grass, roads, and driveway all covered and the snow started less than an hour ago. Let’s see what we can accumulate by 2 o’clock when it looks like this starts to wind down. National Weather Service keeps pointing to between 11 o’clock and 1 o’clock but the real intense stuff. If it’s more intense than right now it’s going to be quite a ride.

41 down to 35 in about 25 minutes.

Just dropped more in temps.  29.8.  Impressive.  Heavy wind driven snow.

Getting into ideal temps now for accumulations.

Sleet is mixing in with the rain

Changeover to snow happened about 20 minutes ago here and whipping snow right now.

HOLY CRAP. Safe to say the front is through here. Easily gusting 50-60mph right now. It’s shaking my house.

A steady 23 mph here. Gusts hitting 45 mph

2.25" measurement.  I think my 2-4" call here has a shot to bust too LOW.

If radar is accurate they’re socked in with heavy snow back at my place. I’m down the shore (left early before roads started to deteriorate back home) and it is a heavy wind driven rain here, but now seeing some snowflakes mix in already - which would be way ahead of schedule for down here.
