March 12 2022 Strong and Fast Moving Storm - Winter's last stand for interior?

Heavy wind driven snow. Temps fell of a cliff. It was mid 40’s earlier now down to 34*.

Snow definitely mixing in here now. The fact that snow is already mixing in with rain on a barrier island in Cape May County NJ says a lot about how much colder this system is than forecast just a couple days ago. NAM and Euro had this pegged.

30 and heavy snow, already 2 inches.

28 degrees and heavy wind whipped snow since about 845am here in Hampton by Spruce Run. Coming up on 3” on the ground. Looks like we have at least another 3-4 hours of this. Would be shocked if we didn’t get 6”+ looking at the radar.

A little under the weather today so I haven’t gone out for an official measurement but definitely over 2 inches already trees roads and driveway all covered. Snow didn’t start till nine so healthy rates.

approaching 2 inchs. Already better storm then I expected 24 hours ago. I imagined more rain amd snow that would really stick to rds to well.

Close to 3 inches now and heavy snow.Maybe two more hours of heavy stuff.Would be nice to hit 6 anyway.

I no longer trust anything from the media. All they care about is hysteria for improved ratings. So they use scary words like bomb cyclone. When I was a kid nor easter was good enough. At least 3 inches. Should be fun out there with the kids in a bit.

2-4" call will hold on this one and this is why Atlantic help has been harped all winter.  With a bit of blocking we'd all be singing a different tune.  The storm is intense and will bomb out much more, but you can only expect so much from a storm that won't slow down in conjunction with losing at least .3" inches of liquid to rain.

3" total for me and doubt I make it to 4".

I'm at about ~24ish now on the season which is 69% of my 35" inch average.  In terms of this winter I've certainly seen much worse but the frustrating part is all the what ifs...

It's going to pick up and snow for another 2-3 hours. I have nearly 5 in Hyde Park.
