This morning I was driving to the bakery and I passed by the Long Island sound there was steam coming out of the water and half of it had some chunks of ice .I am guessing the water temp dropped a lot

My minimum was 6.2* this morning, now sitting at 13*. Thankful the winds died down, it's tolerable out now.

Low was 1 above and looks like 10 will do it for the high.

Will go into hibernation when temperature hits 50 next Friday. Not a fan of these new winter norms. So warm compared to what was.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Temps slowly moderate today, and it will get much milder throughout the week as they approach near 50 degrees Thursday-Friday. Then possibly near 60 degrees over New Years Eve and Day. If you’re making plans for New Years Eve, there’s a good chance we will be dealing with some rain Sad

This is crazy, I am not giving any hope to the rest of the winter that way I do not get disappointed, when we have a threat within 3-5 days or less then I will stick my head in. But 60 on NYE?! People packed in NYC are go be in shorts and Hawaiian shirts. CP must be going nuts with this. Merry Christmas hope you all had a nice holiday.

If you need a therapy session let me know, for all you guys on here no charge (unless 50 of you want treatment lol. : ) Yes I am a licensed clinician. Never dealt with anger over snow as a issue before...

The Grinch Storm that was predicted by many to give Chicago 6"+ just a few days before the storm wound up giving them 1.3" of snow. At least here we knew it was over for us well in advance. Chicago stands at 4.3" to date. It's not just east coast that is having a bad snow year.

Only positives I see about this week’s temps are the savings in the heating costs and catching up on some sleep after the festivities - can’t wait for winter to return next week and hoping for a stretch of some good storm chances, come on old man winter I know you still got it in you lol
