October Obs & Discussions
Life events got in the way of my activity lately, but I am looking forward to the change of seasons and the upcoming winter. September was a stormy month! The coast especially got hit card with extratropical and coastal lows. Sign of things to come this winter? El Nino....we will see.

Re: October Obs & Discussions
Well I was not able to get out Sat obviously but Sunday was great and got lots of new inventory for my E-bay store as majority of the towns rescheduled for Sunday, I went to Aberdeen, NJ. Absurd the tolls they charge going south of GWB but nothing north or west, why is that? Looks like we are not escaping another washout of a Fri/Sat, looks like 1-2 inches is a good call at this time. Lets hope there is no repeat of Friday, looks to be pretty fast moving. Though knowing our luck there will be areas of training, seems to be the thing this year.
Then there appear to be some interesting LP, tropical/hybrid systems in the very LR GFS. Lets keep this going in DJF and now M it seems!!

Re: October Obs & Discussions
I paid $14ish coming from NY to Aberdeen and like $24 going back to GWB. Yeah I have been to Hazlet, its pretty well picked over they have it many times a year for many years now, I think just about every house has done one lol. No tolls once you hit NY (after GWB) to RI at least, maybe in MA, but I grew up in CT (There is one very small toll in westchester on 95 if you go that way but there are many easy ways around that one but its like 90 cents. and RI and there are no tolls.weatherwatchermom wrote:you pay for the parkway north... Re: October Obs & Discussions
Looking at the 0z runs it looks like NJ should not get too much in the way of rainfall from the frontal passage or system in the Friday-Saturday time period. Unfortunately for the folks in NY and on LI it looks like they may pick up some heavier totals but we are still several days out and the models will shift around a bit

Middle of Rocktober pattern change - it will feel like it as the Aleutian LP take over and pumps the PNA - west coast ridge and pops trough over the E

Re: October Obs & Discussions
Especially since I am dying froma bad sinus infection, the heat does not help me feel better but Dr. said not to turn AC on as it could make it worse. Of course he forgot to call in my antibiotics and now the soonest I will be able to start it is Friday because I have to work past pharmacy closing time tomorrow night. Yes I am doing everything to get rid of it without but nothing is working.weatherwatchermom wrote:jmanley32 wrote:93 here!weatherwatchermom wrote:Freaking 82* urgh at least its not humid..lol just finished yard work..can't wait for sweater weather
