Re: October Obs & Discussions
Especially since I am dying froma bad sinus infection, the heat does not help me feel better but Dr. said not to turn AC on as it could make it worse. Of course he forgot to call in my antibiotics and now the soonest I will be able to start it is Friday because I have to work past pharmacy closing time tomorrow night. Yes I am doing everything to get rid of it without but nothing is working.weatherwatchermom wrote:jmanley32 wrote:93 here!weatherwatchermom wrote:Freaking 82* urgh at least its not humid..lol just finished yard work..can't wait for sweater weather

Go out and get a Navage. Use it every night and add a few drops of 10% iodine. Just a few drops though. Light light tea color.

Re: October Obs & Discussions
Oh I am betting that's what happens exactly same areas as last weekend, book it 3-4+. Seems the banding that was being shown over eastern LI and CT has pushed west into the area, could that have anything to do with Phillip and his landfall in Maine of Nova?amugs wrote:Can't make this up EURO

Hi Res models span from central LI - west LI - NYC - NNJ (mostly eastern half) - SNY - CNY as the area to watch for heavy downpours tomorrow. Possibly thunder as well. It looks fairly localized so anyone who gets caught under a cell may see flash flooding.

How ya been Frank? Yeah been a fun summer and fall, rain every weekend. Man you should have seen the flooding here last Friday, was really bad. Looks like I could be in the crosshairs again, looks east of hudson mainly. Lets hope We can cash in here on some long awaited decent snowstorms this year!Frank_Wx wrote:Hi Res models span from central LI - west LI - NYC - NNJ (mostly eastern half) - SNY - CNY as the area to watch for heavy downpours tomorrow. Re: October Obs & Discussions
Frank called it, flash flood watches up. See bolded text, repeat of last week? hopefully not on the same level but this looks to happen in a short duration and be localized but knowing our luck it'll be same locations.

Grab your arks in NYC, western LI inc brooklyn/queens southern westchester NY and fairfield county NY, if 01z HRRR is right, and I think it nailed last week pretty well if I am not mistaken, this would yet again be a major flood event, thats 6-12 inches in many of the hard hit areas from last weekend. Extremely localized sliver there though.

Currently 67° with rain just starting. I hope this isn't a repeat of last Friday's deluge -enough is enough. Dealing with a flooded basement is not fun. Fingers crossed I don't get under any of those relentless training bands as I did last go around.

Re: October Obs & Discussions
yup its on and off quickly. I went out had do errand it sucks. Shoes wet. Some street flooding so far nothing bad. If this keeps up and that band to our west moves in and sits i could see things going downhill quick. One think i noticed this year is the rain is the heaviest ive ever seen and multiple times. Usually this is a rare occurance. Lets hope we get 1-2 qpf per hr snowfall this winter. At least tomorrow will be nice.frank 638 wrote:Heavy rain now here we go again

Looks like rain is over for majority in NYC area, I don't think that big batch rain to the west makes it into the area should shift north of here. Unless theres more rain that will develop offshore.
