I just spoke with my friend from Detroit, who was expecting to get 6-9 inches. He ended up getting only 3 and its been snowing there all day. A lot of dry air with this storm. Big bust potential tomorrow. Warning all of you now. NYC Metro may only get C-1 inch, 2 inches max, I think. Pretty crazy turn of events

It started here @ precisely 4:55am. By 5:30am there was just a dusting on the ground, yet the city plows came through twice already.

The road cams on 7 show a pretty decent looking coating on the highway. Would I be better off going in at noon? Or?

I'm I'm Wayne, going to Morristown.

Last night I said nothing from 1 inch to 8 inches would surprise me considering the model inconsistencies with this whole event, especially the flip flopping short range models of dry to wet to dry yesterday.

0 inches does surprise me though and looking at the current radar it looks like that's what this section of the HV will get, or won't get.

Tom was saying last evening .1 qpf on several models and Frank warned of a bust, so here we are it seems with a bust, at least up here. There's so much snow on the ground right now I'm not even disappointed, well maybe a little.

Curious how everyone else does, hopefully CPK can at least add an inch or two.

Hopefully CP you can get in on the action with that second round over eastern PA. Looks like a secondary is trying to form off the coast near the Del Marva and the dreaded dry slot in between.

Ironic that S NJ is getting the heaviest bands right now.

CPK dropped 4 degrees in the last hour.

26 and moderate snow, with nothing going on here I'm rooting for a couple inches there.

I don't think the band in central Pennsylvania makes it here, the secondary will most likely suck most of the air out of that before it gets here IMO.

Of course I hope I'm wrong.

Only a Heavy Coating here, maybee a inch on coldest surfaces. Those bands are not that heavy. Only have larger flakes.

Sroc I'm so hoping your map nails this one for me. I left home in western Nassau County at 5:15 AM to beat this mess into NYC. Started snowing in western Nassau County at 5:20 or so, by the time my bus made it to Queens at 6:00 there was a thorough dusting of snow on all surfaces. Arrived in Manhattan 6:45, everything coated here too. So tired of having to watch every step I take to make it around ice, and then there's the shoveling...

Many schools in Middlesex County are on a delayed schedule today. Even state workers are on a delay! I was not really expecting this.
