Last year my snowblower broke down when I did a test run in the late fall. I did not purchase another one despite my wife's pleas while I nearly broke my back during the winter for fear of jinxing the season. This year I finally caved in and bought a new snowblower remembering all the times I struggled shoveling last year. When my snowblower was delivered, I turned to my wife and told her too bad I'll never get to use it this year. The kiss of death every time!

Maybe Frank should get rid of the snow falling on the site too. Maybe its acting as a force field or something. I forget who on the 7 online chat board used to say this but if you put ice cubes in the resevoir in the back of the toilet it promotes good jue jue for snow.

Re: Wx Banter Thread 1.0
I mentioned in another thread that last November I bought some winter boots in anticipation for a snowy winter, but I have yet to take them out of the box...
Anyway, let's hope for our sake we do get into a snowy pattern at some point this winter. I mean during the winter of 2011-12 we had plenty of "trolls" on the old 7-online chat board. We had Phil Schmaltz (aka Schmaltzie) telling us about a mild winter coming and bashing many of the board members in the process. On December 28, 2011 in desperation for snow from a lot of us, we had a guy telling us he was Rick Knabb, then hurricane expert at TWC, telling us a pattern change was coming. It wasn't until the following evening that it was confirmed that it was a troll username. Later on we had laular basically acting like a cry baby with thread titles such as "nO coLD Or snoW ThrOuGH jaNUArY 12tH" Eventually all of these users were banned from the board, but they would still post on threads and whenever you would see "1 new of 12", you would click on it and it was tell you that the post was deleted. Eventually people such as Frank and I grew weary of this inconvenience and it lead to Frank creating this forum originally called the "NYC Metro Weather Forum" on 1/6/13 (which changed to the "NJ Strong Weather Forum" on 3/9/13 to avoid confusion with other forums).
Here's to a weaker QBO and a Phase 7/8/1 MJO

Thank God Frank, with the help of his moderators, created this so much better board where it is monitored to avoid the trolls infecting the old 7 board.

I have exiled myself to a climate that is cold with some piles of snow left on the ground - Upstate NY Delaware County to my friends house - we both along with our families had to get the f away from the misery of this fn PAC pattern thanks in part to the QBO and:
TOM buying a Snowblower
Janet proclaiming we would be discussing a godzilla at our weather group gathering
Me paying for storm Vista for a year along with wxbell in early Dec
Lastly - the fn November snowstorm
God dam winter warlock is being shunted by his brother Heat miser.
Mike great post - Schmalzie - what a putz.

Maybe we can all be blamed a little bit. In social work we learn that you have to try to always be able to look at the brighter side of things (people who have little and are poor are some of the strongest people I know and many never complain although compared to my life stinks). We are all, or most (even myself) being negative and maybe (and I stand by my lack of belief in superstition) however, maybe if we all just keep a positive mind and take the kicks as they come and blow them over without a turn back we can dive into a good pattern, just a piece of overtired mumbojumbo lol.

You're right, J Man, and I must confess and bare my soul here.Since I was 10 years old observing weather, I always wanted to be "in areas N and W" of NYC which ALWAYS in those days, got more snow. Finally, in late Sept, my ultimate wish came true at age 63, when I moved to Hudson Valley, NY.
Well, there it is.

Fantasy storm is great. My daughter is home sick with the flu so I don't mind no snow as she would be missing out. Gonna make the best of this weather, break out the smoker and slow cook a brisket for 10 hours. Gotta find the silver lining.
