It partially is; the low that develops is actually embedded within the trough initially, but because of the forcings can begin to wrap itself up.

We've used the word "sneaky" a lot this year. Which I guess is a nice way of saying the models are out to lunch until we're inside of 24 hours. Regardless, the sneaky ones are the most fun anyway.

Yes but I was keeping this separate cause people would be confused as to snow from the ivt then the coastal - you get what I am trying say?

Mugs I merged your thread into the February 9th IVT trough thread. It's all part of the same system / trough. There's so much energy actually that some models such as the ones you mentioned are trying to pop a Miller B. I will have a writeup around 7.

Check out the maps Al posted for snow accumulations - it will affect EPA as well as Tom in CNJ and NNJ NYC and let's forget the Snow Mecca of MA Long Friggin Island!!

They been stealing the big ones for years and cashing in on the scrapes. We got lucky on 1/23 but theres been an unusual amount of coastal snow lately, lets bring it back to the interior baby! (Even though im more on the border, tucked in tracks tends to work out much better for me than "benchmark" and especially east of it forget it.
