Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
Thats pretty much what I am hearing all over that Irma does not appear to have an escape route and has a pretty high chance at making landfall on the US (especially east coast)nutleyblizzard wrote:You can clearly see at hour 144 with the eastern trough and the pressing ridge, Irma really has no choice but to make an east coast landfall. The question is where?

CMC is coming further north too! I know its still so far out but all models are pushing up the coast and not on a OTS senario.

Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
jeeze and headed nnw, who says gonna go for second crush of NYC? The speed of GFS is within 8-10 days now, which is right the GFS or Euro? I am very interested to see if Euro still slows to a snails pace.

Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
The CMC ends just offshore, also faster, I think the Euro may be quicker this run.

Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
Doesnt matter at a cat 3/4 maybe low 5 as far as CT would get Cat 2/3 effects due to the sheer size of Irma at this point.Snow88 wrote:Major Hurricane into Ocean City Maryland
CMC is OTS hmm, well never liked the cmc anyways lol (wait I was praising it a few weeks ago), note the GFS makes its close approarch 7 days from tomorrow early afternoon, if the timing is real then thats not that long though lots can still change but I prefer to see time move up rather than back.

May I point out that the GFS depicted Harvey's track/meandering almost exactly, 10 days out?

Scary thought...but good pt. Soul if this looks like a real threat next week we should have a hurricane party like they do in FL (though they say those are for cat 2 or lower) lolSoulSingMG wrote:May I point out that the GFS depicted Harvey's track/meandering almost exactly, 10 days out?#jussayin

Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
True that, way too much preparation. What do you mean for a living? Like a DJ or party planner?SoulSingMG wrote:jmanley32 wrote:Scary thought...but good pt.
