1.64" today, brooks over the banks, minor flooding.... so wet already this month!

P now that the rain is over it's clearing up it just means a lot more worse with the Sun out is so humid and nasty I cannot wait till Summer's over don't get me wrong I love the summer but not this crap

Weird, as close as I am to you it was 81, low to no humidity and just beautiful, its actually more humid now and the temp went up.

Two more tornados this morning one in whdham area of CT EF0 80mph winds and webster area of MA 100-110mph high end EF1. The second caused a lot of damage from the images I am seeing structural and tree.  There seems to be an aweful lot of tornadic action up this way this year, thats really abnormal.

Today, 93 here and humid. Thank goodness for the pool.

Thunderstorms ready to move in my area lots of lightning winds are picking up and the rain is picking up to Fat raindrops

I was out on the Hudson, boating from 10:30 to 4. It was clear but I saw a wall of clouds coming far away. About the same time, around 3, it started pouring in northern Orange County and only stopped at 7. Heavy rain, thunder. Humid. The new normal.

This is crazy I am in my backyard I need my deck watching the lightning show even though the rain has stopped and in the background you see the sun setting that has a red and orange will to it that is so cool I never seen that before I'll try to take a picture

that was one awesome thunderstorm, knocked out 5600 con ed customers mainly in harrison NY. And the numbers keep going up every 15 min. Rumsey Road in Yonkers is completely in the dark.

yes it was and even though the storm is almost over for our area except for eastern queens and nassau county there is still crazy lighting by my area .
do you any power by your area.

We have power, I am not seeing any lightning, thats odd.  We had several very close bolts of lightning that literally sizzled through the air and the crack was so loud my ears were ringing.  I think that might been what knocked out the rumsey area cuz it was in that direction, I also caught on video 4 strikes in a row, one forked all consecutive was super cool. Up to also 7,000 power outages, 3,000 in westchester. A large number in queens.

What an insane storm..we have over an inch of rain...but the lighting and thunder has lasted for almost 3 hours it's like the storm is stationary over us

.73" of rain, a few small branches down, but a ton of lightning, lots of ctg... now 73°. Can't wait til this pattern breaks!

Along with the cutoff low for this weekend bringing some more rain for us, the 12Z EURO also brings even more rain for us the following weekend via a nor'easter.

This is crazy I love how TWC hyping the dip in the jetstream due to the low pressure but yet again another tropical moisture pull, wil lthis bring a [possible tropical or subtropical system this time? Math is it a nor easter really? Its summer arent those the fall, wouldnt it be more of a tropical or sub tropical system?

I am a garage sale picker for my ebay business (plus its fun) and having dry Sat mornings is a must but that looks dashed once again...sigh.

Ahh I see it comes from the west not from over the water.

TWC showed 3-5 inches rain this weekend, ugg. Evderything is mud, I have never seen the ground this saturated, it smells like mold.

Interesting, the HRRR looks drier. I think the forecast is for a few inches of rain between now and Tuesday, not just over the weekend...
