Interesting, the HRRR looks drier. I think the forecast is for a few inches of rain between now and Tuesday, not just over the weekend...

3K Nam has the LP over central LI/North shore and throws tons of moisture into CT and Mass. Spares western areas of heavy rain overnight tonight.

Endless, endless rain here. It has been raining torrentially all day, since before dawn. I feel like I live in a rainforest. The weather pattern this summer - either crazy hot paired with oppressively humid, or rain rain and more rain - is the worst. I can’t remember a summer when I have spent less time outside, sadly.

we had only about 1/2 an inch here...but I just saw a video on fb..I posted..did not realize how much you guys got up there...to late to call my parents... this summer weather this year is the pits...last year was beautiful...

update I texted and they called me..they are ok..no water in their basement..but some of their friends have 2 feet of water...what insanity

Wow, I know that area well. I never even made it out to the mailbox yesterday! I kept getting texts from the local police department about flooded roads all over town - seems like Route 46 was the worst affected. Thankfully I live on a mountain, so have no water issues. Yesterday was horrendous!

Wow, North Jersey got hammered.Amazing video.Cloudy, foggy, humid here now.I am worried that this rainy summer will lead to a mean reversion dry winter.I hate cold and dry or mild and dry winters.Seeing the slightest trace of a few trees with color but last year there was a lot more.Accuweather had posted a few weeks ago this warm weather would continue into Fall.We will see.Hoping for a nice dry spell with less humid ,sunny conditions.
