rain has basically ended, the rest of the night will be when the wind starts winding up, IF it does, if by morning/mid morning its not that strong we can stick a fork in it.

Nada going on here yawn, i still believe they will come up soon, seeing bill and scott saying winds going good makes sense they first. though checked my local winds versus their forecast and winds are decrasing, yet 18 miles north they are basically on point.

Mugs, let me know how much you end up with. Most of Westwood lost power earlier and I think my electronic reading is off. As of now, I'm at 2.5" Holy rain Batman!

whoa! winds kicked in here about ten minutes ago. It made the freight train sounds and I rushed to the window only to be scared back away in fear the window would break. It made the doors open and/or close inside my house and there are no windows open. Holy moly!

I'm guessing 50 mph gusts right now, but it always seems worse when you're out in it. Walked out to check the yard, I heard snapping branches out back and look up to see the telltale blue flash somewhere to my east.

And it's on, then off, then boom on again. Shaking the house again. Dang.

Damian,

You may be on the outer fringe of the winds of this storm.I am more south and east than your location.

Pretty quiet out there now, no wind or rain.Lee Goldberg said this would be a quick mover , a 6 hour event.

dayum 65mph! Yeah but where is it? I'm hearing nothing but calm outside. Did the nws drop the ball cuz that's a pretty serious hww I never recall one with gusts to 65. Wow let's see what happens. But when I am right I'm right. This actually exceeds what I thought the nws would put out. Currently 4500 outages in the coned area.

Okay hold on how do they drop the hww for Cape and coastal mass and Rhode Island but add to the coastal areas of Upton. That makes no sense. Where are they seeing such a dramatic increase in winds on the western side? I thought the eastern side was going to see strongest.

I didn't lose a lot of leaves-was hoping for that to get half way through leaf clean up. Went to bed quiet and woke up to 25 mph winds. I guess I missed the half of it.
