Very interesting. I've always been under the belief the good winters include December. Sure you can have pattern flips, but it's usually after 1/2 meteorological winter is wasted.

34* and a beautiful sunset over the snow cover. Clear skies will aid in the temperature drop tonight and it is headed into the teens. One thing is for sure: Any snow that wasn't moved today, ain't moving tomorrow morning.

Absolutely true, when there is a good snow cover and you see the Christmas lights, it brings that spirit up so nicely. As a kid, I would take a walk at night after a snow around Christmas just to see the lights and the snow.

WONDERFUL, Doc!
Just the simple pleasure of contemplation after a snowfall a week before Christmas! I guess we snowaholics understand this better than anybody,LOL.
Same here, a winter wonderland with a cold week and snowpack to look forward to.Maybe some snow showers Sunday to freshen it up a bit.
