Yeah HRRR & RGEM match up pretty much verbatim with where it is right now, big slowdown, main winds if they happen as progged won't arrive until 11-12 and strongest from 1-6/7am. rain doesnt totally exit until 12 or 1pm.

So looks like my local wx station says last highest gust was a hour ago around 26mph. funny highest gust today was at 11am 34mph according to the wx underground station closest to me.

Temp has increased 5 degrees in past couple hours 61 degrees, reminds me of a few years ago when it was 70, i mean I have the window open, def doesnt feel like xmas eve.

Finally gusting above 30mph here, and I see one lone 40kt gust being reported in coastal Maryland. There’s also a 35kt report there too. They are also both in the heart of that death band of precip, so let’s see what happens. Compared to what’s aloft, that’s pretty underwhelming right now.

YES, I agree. And yeah so far it is very underwealming, however models do show this intensifying as it heads NNE so I think it picks up rapidly in the upper atmosphere, if it makes it down is the question, I do not know what the upper level winds are right now, is there a place to see that?

Which radar? If you mean the 1st one posted that one has a issue, the second radar posted is the actual radar.

That should bring you to 850mb winds, but play around because it’s a GREAT site!

Wow this has slowed down incredibly, I do not know if thats concerning in terms of duration or if its just a matter of when it enters and exits, the future radar shows the intense rain expanding and stronger and just getting into NYC at 10:35pm, thats much much later than expected.

wind just kicked in out of nowhere as soon as a shower hit, now gusting to 35mph. I think the wind is going to be highly dependent on convection to mix it down. And as its moving NNE I am noting a lot of stronger convection popping up suggesting a strengthening.

Out here, the rain continues to fall. Flash flood warnings are in effect until 3AM and watches until noon tomorrow. According to the NWS, total rainfall will be 2-4". For a summer rain that would be impressive. The idea of a 4" rain in winter....... it almost beggars belief. No wind so at least we don't have the fear of power outages to deal with like you all do.

So this is the Fort Dix radar; still pretty intense. I can tell you I’m at the shore in Cape May and the wind is whipping down here.

Yep I had run out as ran out wrapping paper and it's gusting pretty good. Especially with downpours. The radar is nuts when that rain hits it's go be crazy

Was just out a few mins ago and the rain is starting to come down harder and almost on cue as the rain picked up the winds followed and when the rain tapers for a short period the winds seem to slacken off.
