Winds in Wayne, NJ are about 15 max 23. Breezy. I hope that it is overdone. Especially for so many people tonight with potential power loss and cold tomorrow.

Wow 64-68mph for me, why are they saying away from the coast? So a bit inland like you said is more likely, is that due to the waters causing inversion like you said? Appears I am far enough from the water to experience some pretty sig winds per that map.

Thats pretty much on par for what the models showed, lets see what happens later in the night, this is 1 hr from the wind warning still.

So might see winds pan out more just north & west of NYC (literally like 5-10 miles only and further) and LI may be spared a bit if this is true, central LI is prolly far enough inland, how interesting, I do not think this is something I have ever heard b4.

OMG, some of that I would not like but id go nuts on the lobster shrimp, seafood salad probably. Shrimps lol, thats a true new yorker, there is no "s" for plural of shrimp. And in terms of the winds from what I just posted you might see less wind than literally just north of you, for instance yonkers on north unless ur in the far north bronx. If of course the idea of the ocean limiting some along the coast is true.

wow nws upped two of the parameters wind and marine to extreme level. they didnt even have it that high for the tropical storm this summer wow. thats crazy.

all igotta say is madonne....thats coming this way> I would be very surprised if that doesnt include the extreme winds they are talking about. And the system has slowed according nws. The rain wont be windswept it will be horizontal. I think you way northern guys may luck out and not have severe issues. But don't quote me o nthat.

This is nearly training, its only moving ever so slightlu east mostly north, once its in the area its gonna be nuts for quite a while i think, man if this was snow holy crap, we would be talk about 2 to 4 ft.

Yeah i think this must intensify as it gets closer, winds are basically light all through that rain and even at the area that looks like a squall line, the winds def have a sharp drastic drop cut off as things end on all the models around 7am, but it lasts a good 2-3 hrs+ not a normal squall line likely due to its south to mainly north movement.

Think the storm thus far is waaayyyyy late relative to the models. Should have been pouring out here in west jersey a while ago, we've just seen some sprinkles thus far.

There is an issue with the Dover radar. It’s not that intense. This is the actual reflectivity

Yeah HRRR & RGEM match up pretty much verbatim with where it is right now, big slowdown, main winds if they happen as progged won't arrive until 11-12 and strongest from 1-6/7am. rain doesnt totally exit until 12 or 1pm.

So looks like my local wx station says last highest gust was a hour ago around 26mph. funny highest gust today was at 11am 34mph according to the wx underground station closest to me.
