Money right here over NYC metro and NNJ. High snow ratios 15-18:1 I'd say in these areas. High end overperformer potential.

Just started snowing at 1190 feet altitude at 8:55 in the pm , 22 degrees and reporting 0.000 accumulation as of now! Good Luck to all the people who live down by the shore and the yuppies in Jersey City, hope you guys get blizzard whiteout conditions, you guys deserve it !

10 dbz bands cover most of the state besides SNJ. Once the 20 and 25 dbz bands move in, the show will pile up quick.

Always found it funny how LI and NJ can get very similar if not the same snow and even before it starts NJ has dozens of school closings and LI has none lol.

The last time CPK had at least 2" of snow from an event: January 28-29, 2022, nearly two years ago!

The two 1"+ snow events since: February 13, 2022 (1.6") and February 27-28, 2023 (1.8").

It will be interesting to see if this event ends that 2"+ snow drought.

While mixing/rain will be an issue for NYC and points south and east, here in Albany, it's expected to be all snow with higher snow ratios. Perhaps several inches of snow for me tomorrow.

Snow has commenced at 9:15 in Hiladlae and instant stickage. LOVE these types of arctic storms!!! OKAYqpf on NAM would mean 4.5-6" of snow in NNJ, LHV and SE CT easily.

This means something…Storm way overperformed in Knoxville. Forecasted 3-5"; up to 9” and still snowing…as of 9PM

Snow in Whitehouse(Hunterdon), a good dusting. Very Fine flakes compared to the golf ball sized in the last storm.

I may be way off base here, but I just looked 3 short range models that showed tomorrow is gonna be a nasty mess for many of us. The models showed a lot of frozen rain/sleet from northern Virginia all the way up 95 to northern New England. And the Shore and LI are going to get a lot of rain, hopefully just rain, but maybe some frz or sleet. But it looks like the Jersey Shore is going to now be a rainy mess from 5-6 am all the way through the afternoon! Sad

Just have to enjoy the moment and hope for the best I guess! But more importantly, as far as the sleet and freezing rain, is that as dangerous as it looks? And is there any chance of this just not happening?

Don't think so NAMs are running warm IMO. Just tonight showing 30* when I was 27*and this was all over NJ and NYC metro.

.25" at 25* and snowing moderately.
DC just jumped to Warning level. Great call and this will happen with Holly and then Upton at 4AM,

when we have 8 hours of storm left.

Very pretty out. Very light tiny flakes everything is coated. Loving seeing all this SR model overperformance possible. That band of frz right in morning rush in nyc area is concerning. Hopefully we can keep that south of here. Daughter has 2 hr delay, lets see what morning brings. Might get to work remote..hoping.

22.5° light snow for the past half hour, humidity 63% which is encouraging it was 42% an hour ago and had me concerned.

It will be interesting to see what the morning brings, anything from 1.5 to 4-5 inches otg for wakeup seems possible, I'd hedge to the lower end atm.
