Atleast the precip falls overnight on the Euro.

Goes east, really impressive 10m wind gusts 104kts over ocean!

The thing to watch is the inverted trough now if you want snow. NAM and EURO have it. But as i said, they rarely work out as suggested on guidance.

I dont understand what your doing wrong. You dont need a account. Just click host a image. chose file. Upload it, and copy paste the link its easy.

Remember the Christmas Blizzard in 2010? It was poised to go well east and then within 24 hours of the storm passing us by, models went nuts and we has a blizzard warning posted? What made THAT go west last minute I wonder. Blocking must not have been great to begin with if models didn't pick up on a westward track until 24 hrs out...

No blocking was fantastic. Models didnt pick up on the timing of the phase until sampling. All models had the system, then lost it, only to bring it back. Look at the boxing day blizzard thread in the archive section.

yay lol, ok i was doing something real dumb, i was missing the last part of the link. Anyways was just posting the image that showed highest wind gusts 104kts! Nowhere near land but still dang.

Here is where the strongest winds come for us 45+kts over a wide area and 946 central pressure!

Still maybe 4-5 inches for NYC, and this could always waver again, I think this will never get a good grasp on the exact track.

That's not 5" and there is good consensus that this is OTS period.

Yeah ace I know sigh, but you never know this is still over 48 hrs away things could still change but seems trend is started.

Oh well even if it doesnt happen bring on spring I have things to look forward to with spring. Do we have a tropical thread because I already have some information about this coming season.

I am hoping not skins, or the models are just having a real hard time with such a strong low.

I think tonight and tom runs are the most important then I will make my decision on the storm so Jman you got weatherbell
